that was very smooth!!!! although i think there would have been some strucual damage due to the speed you set the nose down. other than that, its great
im not trying to be mean but im saying when you touchdown dont let go of the yoke or joystick, because when you touched down the front wheels they hit a little to hard
Ah this observation is somewhat frequent, but let me explain what happened here: you must have noticed that the FS replay is sometimes weird. It freeze, then release, then frease, sometimes the plane do strange movements and so. The apparently hard touchdown of the nose gear was caused by that: the replay sample didn't went well and the frames of the nose gear descending were not shown. Check how the scenery movement do a milesimal fast forward in this moment. Thanks for your comment!
As you say ut's a smooth landing! maybe you could have shown us more views, but still good video! I just have a question: was it an ils approach, and was there wind? By the way I have landing videos too, feel free to watch them if you have time to do so!
I can't entirely disagree of you, but I still believe ILS only make things better for the horizontal flight. :) The touchdown (except for full Autoland procedure) will always be our credit.
Sure, but on a normal ils landing, you disconnect the autopilot at 200ft or so and just flare, no correction needed if no wind, so ok, you do like 1% of the job.
What's the point of run FSX if your FPS don't go ahead the 10 fps? Pilots must concentrate on the flight systems and behaviors, not on the 'beauty sights and effects'. :) By the way, we forget real pilots many times don't even notice what plane livery are they flying.
There's no visual reverse because it's a AI model from AI-Aardvark. :) Altough not visual, it's functional in the thrust. I like those models because they used to run quite light on this bad old PC that I used to record this video. About the nose gear, it was a fault of the video frames. Fraps got affected by the pause to proccess the dust and supressed some frames of the touch, making a gap on the sequence and causing the illusion of a hard touch. Thanks for your comment!
my fs2004 has the same problem with insant replay sumtimes it doesnt lower the flaps or landing gear but it mostly turns on autothrottle on my a330-200 and a340
i recently played the instant replay twice from 2 different angels the first 1 was as i did it when i was flying the second 1 didnt lower the flaps so as it went to touch down i you hears was too low flaps
The worst situations in my opinion is about the gears. Sounds like the FS just turn the gear state as pressing 'G', not caring to the 'down' or 'up' situation itself.
Oh, yes yes... I did it because this runway is too short, about 4500 feet only, with a single taxiway on the 3500 position and no back-course to return in case I loose this exit. It doesn't even has a TDZ mark. I had to aim on the first feet to stop if comfortably. :) Thanks for your comment!
Oh no no sir... it really seems that the nose gear hit the ground with some force, but actually is a fault of the replay of the FS, that don't obbey the exact moves of the plane. It's like if a frame were supressed from the sequence and cause the impression of a bump. (y)
Thanks ddd, but I'm not a real pilot. :) It's easy to land on a simulator, but on real life is a thing I (yet) didn't. I just flew once in my real life. But I hope to became a airline pilot, finding a good job to pay the courses. Thanks!
Bad Quality Coz Fs2002 Right?

good video you fly for any virtual airways?

Thank you sir. Replied on the 737-700 GOL vdeo.

Good landing :) Would be funny if you had a 747 coming at you on the other runway :)

Thanks for your comment sir! About the 747, I still trust in my ATC... :D

nice landing, but it looks like a tad too much flare, or maybe im just insane. nice vid though
pigeyboy1 3 years ago
Well, probably yes? The gears did stay floating centimeters over the runway for seconds untill finally touch... :) Thanks for your comment!

marko071988 3 years ago
Hey Marko! This was a full visual approach, as SBNT (at least on the FS2002) has no ILS structure. The wind was calm. Thanks about the comment!
smartalpha 3 years ago
well great landing then! I asked because ILS makes it way too easy, but without it, you get all the credits for this landing!!

I repaint planes. :) Fictional or real. Search "Germano" on avsim(dot)com file library to check some real ones.

No reverse thrust? Or's that a problem with the playback? And when you put your nose gear to the floor, I'm pretty sure that would hurt :P
