  • Shine On, Mr. Wright.

  • best song ever?

  • valeu richard wright, porra nem sei o que dizer...........

  • Thank you Rick for the deep experience of bliss and sorrow you gave us. RIP.

  • I would like to know who that is on guitar. I know Roger Waters went on to play with some amazing guitarists like Jeff Beck for Amused to Death and Eric Clapton for The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking. It's pretty great that all five members of the Floyd had very good solo careers; I personally like the two Syd Barrett albums better than Piper;look up Fictitious Sports byMason. I mentally categorize the last two Floyd albums with Waters as solo albums; similarly DB+ML are Gilmour solo albums to me.

  • @0SierraMaestra0 Album credits (courtesy of Wiki entry on Wet Dream) : Richard Wright: Piano, keyboards, electric piano, Hammond organ, Oberheim Synthesizer, vocals.

    Mel Collins: Saxophones, flute.

    Snowy White: Guitars.

    Larry Steele: Bass guitar.

    Reg Isadore: Drums, percussion.

Hipgnosis: Album cover design and photography

"Wet Dream was self-produced and Wright wrote all the songs himself, except Against The Odds, which was co-written with his then-wife, Juliette."

  • all the world we love!!!

  • Rest In Peace, Richard Wright.

  • sounds like a cross between Great Gig In The Sky and Pillow of Winds...

    beautiful, at any rate.

  • most underrated album ever

  • @buddy39914 i agree

  • Happy Birthday : (

  • Today Rick would've been turning 68 =(

  • Reminds me of "Great Gig in the Sky"...

  • @pagani43 i do believe that richard wrote that song actually

  • @TGram29 Yes, I know. I'm not saying Mr Wright ripped off one of his own compositions (or that he might've), I'm just saying that this song *reminds* me of "The Great Gig in the Sky" in terms of the mood; I think the mood of this song matches "Gig"'s, that's all.

  • @)pagani43 i didn't mean that at all lol

richard wright really was the icing on the cake when it came to pink floyd, things just didn't sound the same when he started taking a backseat to rogers and gilmour's fame contest

  • LOVE & MISS U RICK. HOPE SOON I´LL BE WATCHING YOU PLAYING IN HEAVEN

  • que tecladista por dios! como lo extraño!

  • Richard, King of the Summers

  • this is great. best solo album from any of them (except syd's perhaps)

  • Comment removed

  • this incredible song must be art of floyd songs not rick' solo songs. BEAUTIFUL.

  • Richard Wright, the pure and lonely gentle soul in the heart of Pink Floyd...the perfect friend for David Gilmour and apparently by-passable figure for Roger Waters.

  • what a beautiful song =)

  • pure love!

  • Thanks Rick for amazing songs you did along with the Floyd. RIP and God Bless

  • You are in my heart and someday we will meet again.

Than we will play together in Heaven.

Love you Rick...Love you Pink Floyd...for ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @currycrash please remember me I want to play too!

  • Play on in the great gig in the sky.

  • R.I.P rick, you are missed down here.

  • Yo no se si la conoces, pero esta es para ti Sofilin!

  • doesnt this song remind anyone of great gig in the sky at the beginning?

  • Rest in peace Richard Wright July 28 1943---September 15 2008

    Oh, By the way...Your Pink

  • greaet guitar work Snowy!

  • @ Back2TFuture I thought this song and most of this album was actually about Richard's crumbling marriage, although the last verse points more closely to you're interpretation. Thanks for making me look at this song in a slightly different light.

  • i must have been asleep this past while. didnt even realise richard wright had passed away til now. rip. i had his lp yrs ago and mislaid it. will defo be looking it up and playing it again. brill stuff. anyone that had anything to do with pink floyd is a genius in their own right.

  • Wish Rick finished the album he was making :(

    R.I.P Richard William Wright

    We all miss you

  • @MrChuchiii Would love is Mr. Gilmour, Waters, and Mason would finish even just one of those songs for 1 final song from the Classic Floyd lineup.

  • @MrChuchiii

was he making an album when he passed? I was not aware.

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen

Yes he was. That means someone is sitting on the material right now. We can look for another Richard Wright album in the future of all the songs he recorded before he passed.

  • @Metalitron12 he & charlie watts could have done a jazz album together

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen He was making his third solo album. It was beleived to be more a Pink Floyd sound to it.

  • summer scent...and a sweet melancholy, goodbye to you LEGEND!!!

  • When you listen to Rick's solo work, you hear how enourmous his contribution was to Pink Floyd as a whole.

    Love u Richard. RIP

  • Wonderful song. Very touching. Rick was the real Floyd soul.

  • Rick never received the right value while genius of music. He was all the time hidden in the shadows of Gilmour and Roger. This song express how magnificent he was. Sincerely it touches my heart. R.I.P RICK.

  • sí efectivamente es snowy white, extraordinaria canción y con un solo de guitarra de primerísimo lugar, saludos!

  • Such a forgotten album. This track and Holiday mark my youth - so sorry to hear of this great artists passing. Just wish I could buy this album in the UK for a reasonable price.

  • Damn Rick, You Awesome!

  • ¡¡¡ Masterpiece !!!

  • Snowy White f.ucking tears it up on this one!! Love it.

  • I like it very much! It's like a lost work from Rick that I haven't yet discovered. Add it to the ever expanding Pink Floyd playlist :-)

    Thanks for posting this song!!!

  • ChiefLongstick: Oh, wow. I envy you. I remember the first time I began discovering their solo works. Being the fanatic that I am, after I had every album I just wanted more and more... so then I realized how much solo work they all had. At first, I was reluctant to go out and buy it because I didn't think it would sound like Pink Floyd...and I was partly right, but still... all of their solo works contain a little piece of Pink Floyd, imho.

  • In my opinion, this is by far the best song on the album and that says a lot. I miss Richard so much and I never got to know him personally. I can't believe its almost been a year...

  • rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick rick

  • Who plays with ric wright on this record?

  • Snowy White on guitar

  • No hes right its Snowy White

  • Ya it snowy, he is credited on the album

  • Snowy White: Guitars.

    Larry Steele: Bass guitar.

    Reg Isadore: Drums, percussion.

    Mel Collins: Saxophone, horns, flute.

  • One more sleepless night

    And another wasted day

    This song has no end

Too many words fill my mind

You gave so much too soon

No longer sure where you want to be

    Turn around

    See what you have found

    Richard..for you...[*]...:(

  • The same phrase form this song keeps repeating it self in my mind "I can't say, nothing's clear to me no more..."

  • This song makes me cry!Thank you Rick!

  • R.I.P Richard Wright

  • i like it

  • nice tune

  • I bought this album in 1979 in the discount rack at a flea market for $2. Never even heard of it at that time but I knew who Richard Wright was.Between that album and the CD I bought years later,I can honestly say that I have listen to this entire masterpiece at least once every 10 days for 28+ years. Not only is it my fave solo project from any member of Pink Floyd,it is in my top 10 albums of all-time from any band.

  • I went into an Oxfam music shop and for the first time today, I bought a vynil. It was this album which was going for £5.99. I saw it in the window and I just had to buy it (along with Animals and Dark Side).

Now I just need to find a player!

  • I haven't heard any of these songs in years, despite having an original pressing of the vynil record. And I have forgotten how good this record is.

  • Fare Well Richard.... Thanks for being part of the Magic!

    Pink~

  • you guys know that this album was released on September 15 1978 thats the exact date Richard Wright talk about coincidence right rest in peace Rick i hope i will get to see you in heaven and with others.

  • At least I could hear both of Rick's album. I really miss him so much. He is a good piano player of Pink Floyd for a long time.

  • Let's drink to absent friends :O((

  • On of the most underrated figure of classic rock. This is my favorite solo song of R.Wright.You'll be missed by millions of Pink Floyed fans!

  • @shahed99 very true, waters and gilmour should have just stayed together so sad

  • Good for Richard. Good for you Richard.

  • what a shame, death way too soon. with songs like this it's a shame he didn't write and sing more. what an album!

  • Addio mio capitano...mi mancherai

  • adieu génie !!!

  • He Wasn't Frightened Of Dying, Any Time Would Have Done, He Didn't Mind.

    R.I.P

  • I regret that I didn't put enough impression in your beautiful work like this one...and now it really shine.

    RIP. Rick

  • RIP from Turkey

  • This is his best solo song. I play this one all the time.

  • Richard Wright Keyboards Vocals we as in me always play the FLOYD sending with love God bless Richard Wright who went up with you from Cancer at the age of 65 .

  • Good-bye, Rick.

I listened to this when I was 14, in a faraway land behind the Iron Curtain.

  • Goodbye Richard.

  • There are no words to express my deep sorrow. Goodbye Rick

  • RIP Richard

  • Miss you Rick. Your greatness won't be forgotten!

  • RIP

  • i just heard about Rick , R.I.P from algeria

  • Absolutely a gentleman, unassuming, some times unnoticed, Rick was a magical and gentle component in most of the Pink Floyd songs, what to say of the gorgeous "Us and Them" and "The Great Gig in the Sky". We will miss you Rick, thank you for those moments!!!

For sure you are having fun up there..

  • WITH with with with ... WITHOUT ...

Rick. Legend. Thanks for the AMAZING chord sequences, sound and VERY underestimated song writing. Your sound ALWAYS evoked the strongest of emotions from sadness to fear to peace. RIP

  • "Home, home again...

I like to be here when I can"

  • Rick, thank you for all the great music. In between Dave and Rodger's more forceful musical presence, you were in the center of it all providing those great melodies and textures. You understood beautiful sounds and you appreciated the spaces between notes. The Floyd would not have been the Floyd without you there keeping it all together.

  • Thank You, Rick.

  • Rick will be missed but thanks for the music

    Buon viaggio Richard Wright

  • Only goodbye...

  • Great musician. This was sad and shocking news. Thoughts go out to his family, friends, and the fans.

  • Let's drink to absent friends

How they cared and all they shared.

  • rest in peace rick... thank you for everything...

  • Rest in peace brother.

  • Que pena. Otro Floyd que marchó.Descansa en paz.

  • Dear Richard,

Thanks for your music and important presence within modern music. Your excellent keyboard playing, lyrics, music - will hopefully live forever. Rest in peace.

  • This is definitely one of the greatest losses for the music world sinds a long time....

With 2 media behemoths like Waters and Gilmour in a band, Wright is easily forgotten, while he was a major part of the Pink Floyd sound..

    so Rick

Rest in peace, you will be missed...

  • rick thanks for the memories .your music will leave forever may you be in gods grace and light. pink floyd wont be the same w/o you

  • Rest in peace rick..

  • goodbye richard, and thanks for all the beautiful music...

  • Perdy.
