  • One word... PERFECT!

  • Moreover they are so coward, using a big shooter against little birds! What a brave men they are... Really I hope the nature will destroy and expell the human beings from it, because they don't deserve to live and enjoy a beautiful planeth like this.

  • @Hyyra I'm vegetarian you're right. I can not eat anything who has an heart.

However I think that this people just shoot because they like to kill animals. It's not the question to be circle of life, they just kill for pleasure, they act just like primitives when they killed other men. You can see they smile with dead beings in their hands, dirt of blood. Today we have a lot of things to eat, we don't need to kill to be in health.

  • @Solitait A true hunter is someone with a close relationship with nature, a human can love animals & nature but yet still enjoy the hunt. and no there isnt enough protien resources in the world to feed the population of the planet. A hunter is also a conservationist and responsible for a humane kill. bottom line we have eyes on the front of our head and k9 teeth like every other predator, mybe you have eyes on the side of your head like a leaf eater

  • You're destroying the nature. What a shame! Just kill yourselves and the world will be a better place!

  • @Solitait

so dont you eat meat? im also against animal abuse etc. but also humans have to take a place in circle of life

  • @Solitait Hunters are the few people these days preserving nature. Important part of hunting is counting animals and feeding them in winter.

City greenies cause more destruction to nature just by living.

  • is it more common to hunt these with rifles rather than a shotgun?

  • @Cowri You don't get close enough to benefit from using a shotgun.

  • @Zealix What kind of caliber are you using - is it sufficient to use .17 hmr or do you need something bigger. It's hard to tell the distance this hunter shooting at the bird. Is it within 100 meters?

  • @Cowri .17 isn't enough for this kind of hunting, .222 rem is the smallest caliber I would use.

Can't tell what distance in this video, but most shots tend to be between 100-200m.

  • @Cowri I would recommend a .222 or .223, though a .22wmr would be strong enough as well, been shooting a few within 50m with a .22wmr and it dropped on the spot ;)

Reason why the .222/.223 are such a good cal. is because of the very flat ballistic. Got mine zero'd at 80m, and it hits spot on from 25-150m.

  • šta ova budala radi ? 1:35 pa nadalje

  • These birds are stupid...They make this dramatic stalk on a dumb bird?? Do you think all people are stupid?? You can walk up to these birds .They will just watch you from up in the tree. All for an exciting hunt and footage.

  • @lewandlo lol try to walk with a rifle to a bird

and then tell me how your hunting trip was

  • Bullet tips for 308?

  • Great film, would love english subtitles!

  • That's awesome. What caliber you using?

Are those birds yummy? After crawling around in all that snow, I hope they are worth all the effort you put in harvesting them. Great video!

  • Mukavempaa aijankulua olis heleppo keksiä..

  • Sorry, that´s target shooting, not hunting!

  • @wzukr

You wont get the shooting place free!

First you need to sneak as close as you dare so you may even hit it.

However, you must be extremely quiet while you move, because even a little branch snap will make the bird fly some 200 meters.

So I would call it hunting.

  • Onko tämä suomesta?

  • Nice shooting, will hopefully do the same this winter.

  • but crazyguy22 you can kill in trap animal with pistol

  • Once we had capercaillie in Poland but becouse our forests got plundered and burned during the I and II W.W. they long gone... I hope your forest always stay full of capercaillie and you can show them to your children. I had to take my kids to a museum to show them how they look like.. Sad:(

  • Saisivat suomessa rauhoittaa muutamaksi vuodeksi niin tulisi metsästystä kestävä kanta. Nyt mielummin räiskitään ja syytetään kanahaukkaa. :<

  • Mitä kaliberia käytät?

  • Hyvät kuvat. Kaikki otettu Ruotsissa eikä suomessa. Nice pictures from Sweden.

  • it is so sad that we must do this

  • In that distace I use a air gun to do the job.

  • yea like hell you do show us a video before you say things like that

  • Capercallie hunt, one of my most favorite ones. I dreamed about getting this beautiful big black bird since my childhood years and first hazelgrouses. When you see this exellent game on, "crack"-ing hungrily and teasing the downside barking dog by throwing broken twigs, you unconsciously hold your breath, blood starts pounding in your temples, while you creep slowly between the trees, dreaming of only one thing - not to startle the game and get it.

  • Really marvellous hunt, allowing you to fully enjoy the timid beauty and feel the quiet grandeur of the northern nature. I'v been hunting capercallies at the Republic of Komi in Russian North for decades and still enjoy it as at the first time.

  • Really cool video, too. To my great chagrin i can't understand suomeska, despite our languages are distant relatives. But either way, take my sincere thanks, enjoyed very much, almost like i'v been there by myself.

P.S. By the way, could you please tell briefly something about forest game hunting in Finland for foreighners? Do one has always pay a landlord for hunting permission or there are goverment lands? Where hunt is possible for every legal hunter?

Metsästyksen ilo on suuri!

  • toi on hieno laukaus 4:47

  • look at video-response... film to the left! Thats some nice pictures of a Capercaillie and a dog! I recomand you to watch it!

    Ole

  • how old do i have to be for hunting in finland?

  • 15, but then you need to have some experienced (over 18y) hunter accompanied. From age of 18 you can hunt on your own.

  • ah ok thank you, but when i'm 15, do i have to do any special hunting assay?

  • theres no age limit for hunting but you need to be 15 to get your own gun. before that you may hunt with someone who is atleast 18 and has the lisence for the gun you use.

  • If you're with a parent then there's no age limit. You can go hunting alone when you're 15

  • NICE SHOOTING!!!

  • good!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone know what ranges they were taking these shots at?

Am wondering weather i can just use a .22LR

or if i should look for a .222 instead.

(moving to Finland in just under a month)

  • oh boy, you should firstly forget whole 22lr. they take shot about 100-300 meters and first of all, it is illegal to use 22lr. at hunting most game here in Finland. So I say that buy bigger caliber if you are looking forward to hunting in here capercaillie for example. :)

  • Thanks for that info.

So .22LR is illegal even to shoot birds/small game like rabbits/hare and squirrel at close range?(100 meters and less)

(would get a .17HMR but those are notorious for fragmenting on impact and causing severe damage to the meat)

I figure that a combo gun with a 12/76 - .222/.223 would probably be the thing then.

Any experience with the Baikal Taiga? or any other combo gun?

  • Also i will be bringing a Browning A-Bolt Hunter in .270WSM for big game hunting, that big enough to be legal for everything in Finland?

    What about handguns and hunting?

Can i for instance use a .22LR for short range rabbit/hare and sitting birds?

Or maybe larger caliber handguns for larger game?

  • I'm not sure what kind of caliber is that, because it's not very familiar here in Finland.

At moosehunting most usual calibers are 308win and 30-06sprg.

Handguns you should forget, they are not allowed here in any hunting.

  • @crazyguy22

You can use .22 only on one bird in Finland and nothing else and that is one of the doves.

  • By the law, thath chanched resently, you can use .22 lr to city rabits, ducks, willow grouse, hazel grouse, bigeon and small biest animals. the law wos chanched, beguse the city rabits in the capital area. .22 is easyer in a city.

a late rocomend: for bird hunt wery good calibers are .222 Remington and .308 Winchester. they are resembly prised, sharp and pretty populair. and if i would be you, i would ignore the pain and misery caused by two weapons and take a rifle and a shotgun whit me.

  • @kratsyman

Thanks for that info, i got a combo gun that takes 12ga shotgun shells and .222Rem rifle shells.

Makes it considerably easier to go on a hunt where you need either one given the circumstances.

Still use my .270WSM but as a Moose/Bear gun.

  • with 22lr. you can shoot squirrel, pigeon, rabbit and some other small game but I don't remember all of them, but there are only few games you are allowed to shoot by 22lr. And in law we don't have anything said about ranges so you can shoot as long range game as you want, but of course with 22lr. it's going to be 100meters and less, because of it's weak power..

Combo guns just like you mentioned are pretty usual in here, specially while hunting capercaillie and black grouse..

  • @crazyguy22 Did you move to Finland already? What kind of guns did you bring with you?

  • @HuimisKiss

Yeah i have moved to Finland already.

    i brought:

Winchester 1300XTR Pump action 12ga shotgun.

Browning A-Bolt Hunter in .270WSM caliber.

BRNO Mod.4 .22LR single shot competition rifle.

Plan on buying something in the .222 or .223 area for hunting and possibly sell the .270WSM and find me something in the 8-10mm range for large game.

  • @HalldorKG That is cool! :)

I love the Nordic agreement about gun licenses and hunting licenses.

Do you know anything about USA? I already know I can get an American hunting license with my Finnish license and buy a gun with that if I go there as a tourist. That is the case in at least California.

But can I bring my own guns to USA?

  • @HuimisKiss

Yeah it is a really good thing.

Never heard of such an agreement with USA, since they are usually strict on any foreigners and guns/related objects.

Where do you have that license information from? I would doubt it unless it is from a very reliable source.

No tourist can buy a gun in the USA unless they are deporting it, and then only with special papers.

California is on of the strictest states when it comes to guns.

Not so sure, i would contact an embassy for all those answers.

  • @HalldorKG "Q: What do I need to do to get my hunting license?

A: Resident, nonresident, and junior hunters must present ONE of the following when applying for an Annual California Hunting License or Two-Day Nonresident Hunting License as proof of meeting California’s hunter education requirements: 'clip' - A current hunting license or a hunting license issued in either of the two previous years from any state, province, European Country or South Africa.

  • @HalldorKG The source: dfg.ca.gov/licensing/hunting/huntingfaqs.html#GLQ

And I have already confirmed that a goreigner CAN buy a hunting gun with that license.

  • @HuimisKiss

OK, If that is the source and you have checked the gun license part then i think you are set to go.

Was not sure on the "buying or using a gun" as a hunting license and gun license tend to be two different things.

But that clears it up just fine.

  • Nise shot bra film

  • 222 ja 223 ovat parhaita linnun metsästys kaliibereja idiootit!!!

  • Mikä ilo on ampua ylipitkille matkoille?

  • .243 on paras lintukaliberi.

  • Onko reppu 65:lla omakohtasta kokemustaki?

  • norjan aremijan lumipuku? :)

  • Kaliberi voi olla 22-250 Rem. Mielestäni paras lintukaliberi ikinä!

  • Aika paska lintukaliberi. Tuuliherkkä, repii riistan usein jauhelihaksi ym...

  • Varmaan .243

  • Tikka tai sako on kivääri. Kalibeeri kiinnostas tietää?

  • kuomat jalassa :D

  • Minkälaisia aseita on videossa?

  • Minusta tuo kivääri jolla päähenkilö ampuu näyttää tikka t3 hunterilta mutten oo ollenkaan varma asiasta :)

  • excellent!!!!!!

    Winter,snow and capercaillies.

    You can´t beat that.

  • vittun hyvä video.

pitää nähdä koko juttu nytten. =)

  • hyvä video.. taitaa olla kyllä telkkarista otettu ;P

  • mahtava!

  • topped'em
