Pedals just take practice to get the time on them right, eventually you do it almost without thinking.

*nods* I, myself, still sometimes find difficulty in singing some songs and playing guitar at the same time...I either end up droping the singing or the guitar playing get's a bit wonky. But that's mainly only when the singing doesn't mimic the guitar...otherwise it's a matter of knowing the song.
