  • nice video

  • All right thanks, will defanitely be checking it out...

  • Im from the west side of washington so where in washington in this?

  • @333DARIAN It is in Vancouver, WA.

  • im not trying to take anybody's secret fishing spots but what creek is this? from fly fisherman to another

  • @333DARIAN Its Salmon Creek in Washington. every fall the northwest gets a run of Cutthroat Trout from the coast, then the steelhead will follow right behind! =)

  • @NWanglerz Thanks. Looks like a fun place to break out the lil 7.5 foot fly rod! any action in the summer?

  • @333DARIAN yes, a few small rainbows. but I go after the smallmouth in the river a few miles away from there =)

  • Those were some very nice fish! Maybe this year I can get into fly fishing more!

  • i have never fished for native trout only stocked trout. are natives easier to catch than stocked?

  • @teamreflexpaintball1 no, stock are a lot easier to catch, with natives.... I can go one day, and have a day like this, then the next day, not catch one! or even a bite. a lot of walking and searching is involved, what I do is usually walk 1 mile up stream and then work my way back down towards my car.

  • i read on the wdfw site that in november there is going to be steelhead in this creek.

  • @MrFisherboy12 yes, the winter steelhead run usually kicks off in November and last for about 2-3 months, they can be very tricky to catch though! ha

  • Fucking awesome

  • @zachthefisherman haha, thanks!

  • looks very fun good job

  • Thanks for explaining that this one had been up already; thought I was losing it (even more) there for a minute! Very nice job. Don

  • Nice video! Fly fishing is sooo fun! I love catching trout for a change but I only get to do it once or twice a year.. 0 times this year : / ... Me and my friend caught 54 in 1.5 hours at beavers bend in oklahoma, it was beast! I caught a trout that was easily 3.5 pounds.. it was like 22" or something I forget.. One of the best fights of my life.. I was using an ultra light spinning rod, man thats fun! You caught some nice fish!

  • very impressive video

  • Impressive! You make it look so easy!

  • @ajlures Thanks! haha. This is one of my top favorite outings that I've had in a long time!

    -Adam

  • hey adam i have a spinning rod and reel what lure should i use??

  • @MrFisherboy12 for creek trout? nothing compares to a 1/16oz roostertail on a spinning rod for trout! they have a series with "dots" on the blade, get the red chrome body one with the silver blade with black dots! best color I have ever used!

  • @MrFisherboy12 Yup that works good, but, something you could try is split shotting a power bait egg with 12-24" between split shot and hook... If you can find a place with good current it just goes back and forth under water... I caught 54 rainbow and brown trout with my friend in 1.5 hours.. It was every cast unless they took the egg and I didnt get a chance to set the hook!

  • @NWanglerz

yeah I'm going to be using it for trout in streams and rivers. I'll probably get the 8'6 Yellow stone fly rod or the Okuma one that you showed me. :)

  • thanks Adam! I plan on getting a five weight rod. how tall of a rod should I get? lol! I'm clueless!

  • @TheFishingfreak12 I use a 8'6" 5 weight. and that is the most common size rod i heard, what do you want to use it for, trout? if your fishing small river or creeks, go with a 8'-8.5' but people that fish big lakes use a 9'

  • Also what rod and reel where you using and how do you like it? I might get that rod.

  • @TheFishingfreak12 I actually started fly fishing about 6 years ago. but the last time i've done it was about 3 years ago! I just recently started getting back into it. The rod in the video is a Yellow Stone fly rod and the reel is the Okuma SLV 4/5 (which I highly recommend!) its SO LIGHT! the Rods range $100+ & the Reel was $60. If you can "master" the baitcaster, I think this was a little easier to learn. I'll probably never use a spinning rod for small steam trout again after using a fly =D

  • @TheFishingfreak12 I would recommend the reel, but try looking at the Okuma SLV Fly Rod!!! its under $75 and its a slick lookin rod! Im going to pick up the St.Croix Reign fly rod today =)

  • did you just get into fly fishing? Is it hard to cast and get used to it? I'm gonna get into fly fishing...

  • Great video Adam, keep up the great video and editing work. Not to mention the fishing!

  • @BassinNW Thanks Dan!
