Hi, I'm Aaron from Dracut i was woundeing if u can give me some info on ur gym. how much it would cost to train and to get everything i would need to train. So if u could contact me on here with that info.
You probably remember a friend of mine, Darryl Turner. He was my best friend years ago and fought through your gym. I trained there as well but did not as many fights.
Your dad was a great man. His gym took me off the streets at a time when I needed some discipline in my life. I'm grateful for the experience.
@compumatter Hi Jay, Thanks for the nice comment about my dad, he will certainly appreciate it. He is a good hearted man who tries to look out for all his kids at the gym. Glad to hear your doing well. My father said he remembers your friend, hope he is also doing well.
I really enjoyed this clip, which I stumbled on when looking up informtion on the upcoming movie "The Fighter". What is very intersting about this is I think I was in the Ramalho's house when I was very young, I remember seeing a lot of trophies on the wall. I think my uncle knew Art Ramalho Sr., my uncle's name was Teddy Coupe, ever heard of him. Regards, Gary Bernard.
@Gfromlowell Hi Gary, Yes I knew Teddy & I also know Steve Coupe, I used to spar with Steve, he would get me ready for my fights. I enjoyed watching your Video on Lowell. I also grew up in Lowell. This channel is my wife's, I have my own channel you can also subcribe to, it is ramalhosgym. I am also on facebook Lowell West End Gym A.K.A. Ramalho's West End Gym.
@Gfromlowell Yes, I remember Teddy....What a great guy!
Glad you enjoyed the clpis. You need to go see the movie. What a great movie! already saw it three times and going to see it again this week with more friends!
@creatingalife Great to hear you remember uncle Teddy, I remember him bringing over Bo James (sp) when I was very young, ever hear of him? I taught him how to play chess, not so sure he ever picked up on it though.
I went to see the Fighter this weekend with my wife, I was blown away by the movie. Great to see Ramalho's Gym in the movie and all the shots of Lowell. Couldn't believe what I was seeing, given the fact I now live in Arizona and watching Lowell on the big screen.
Whatever happend to Joe "Soup" Campbell that used to fight Super Heavyweights in the Golden Gloves?
