I bake my meatballs. Wrap them up in foil in a small baking pan and pop them in a hot oven for about 20 to 25 minutes. They stay moist and easy clean-up.
Brenda you are so creative, i love all your videos. Your eBooks are the best of the best. I can't wait to buy a spirooli now. I've been using spaghetti Squash for the noodles which is terrific, but zucchini would be much cheaper!!! Thanks again. Keep goin' girl.
@AlbinasLove Nope. It is raw winter squash. Of course, you can sautee it if you want...but it's just faster (and a bit healthier) to leave it raw. The sauce is hot, so that will heat it up.
In my opinion that doesn't taste like pasta but it can make you feel like you eating pasta and of course you can eat a big amount of that cause zucchini is so low in calories!!!!!!! I also like eating ''cauliflower rice''....i like those low carb substitutes of starch...they can make you feel like you are eating a lot and that u are not on a diet!!!!!!!!
I am SOOO buying a Spirooli....THANKS! I just started the Blood Type Diet and worried that I would miss pasta. I also love Spaghetti Squash....nature's pre-made spaghetti! But, your idea is faster and not cooked! Thanks a million!
OMG I just did a test run of the recipe just to see if the spirooli is worth it and if im going to even like the veggie pasta. AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! The spirooli is def going on my XMAS wish list lolz...Thanks alot doll!!!!
omg i just found your channel and you are freaking amazing!!!! I started doing you tuppeware trick this morning ahh . . . i am so excited to see how that goes. Thank you so much for all of your help.
Brenda, this vid is awesome! Never would've thought zucchini would be like pasta. Also didn't know about not cooking the meatballs on all sides. Thx for the info. Love your energy, keep it up :))
I love this and I make my sause and meatballs very similar - so true most people can't even tell the difference. Thank you for the nutritional yiest- I'm gonna go get that. Oh by the way-one thing you may want to try- when you add the dry ingredients crush them between your fingers first- it releases the flavor :-) great video ~ Hannah
Love it!! That looks so good! Thanks for posting this. I agree that you should def post more recipe videos. Sometimes I wanna cook something different but I'm always stuck on chicken and veggies lol. And I love love Italian food. I will be trying this for sure because your other recipes were Delish as well. Oh ps. A friend of mine told me you can use spaghetti squash if u can't find a spirooli? Lol I've actually tried it before. A little crunchy but not bad. :)
A mandoline (slicer) works well too, use the julienne slicer with long stokes and you'll have "pasta" in no time... restaurant trick and they are about $10 to $15 at walmart, target and the like. :) Thanks Brenda for the tips.
@leansecrets I picked the spirooli thingy up at Walmart (don't judge me) It was called a "Paderno World Cuisine Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer", quite a name for it
Along with ground chicken, it's another thing I'd never heard of before; The recipe turned out well, wasn't as bland as I thought it would be, had flavor
thank you brenda!!! i think you should do like a new recipe every week! give us something tasty to look foreward to! could you get ground chicken at walmart? i've seen the ground turkey but not chicken...and i love chicken more than turkey! i can't wait to try this recipe! well i don't have that spaghetti maker ting, so how would i shred the zuccini withought making it look...well shredded? again thank you so much brenda you are amazing i watch your videos like it's church time! thank you! :)
@razzledazzledarling1 I think you're right. I'm trying to figure out a schedule for this channel, but weekly recipes seem to be a common request! So happy you liked it!!!
@tifaniee NO! Thank you for asking this!!! It's VERY important to keep it raw. It's more nutritious, and it will be more like "al dente" pasta. The sauce will warm it up, so it won't be cold, and there's no need to boil it at all.
You are amazing! i'm only 16 (and most of my friends don't care about health and nutrition) but you inspire me so much...no joke!
