just heart them at a time only some hundred vinyl ones had been sold a year in germany. i am not a friend of google, youtoube and all of those but just logged in to tell that this song is still good to me while having the blues ...
I first heard of Freakwater 2 days ago and wish I had discovered them years ago. I live in Chattanooga and could have gone to see them when this was recorded. I really love this song in particular. Go girls!
Friend of mine from the city asked me if I had any "redneck" music, being as I was from the country in Kentucky. I said "man, I got music so redneck that the rednecks won't even listen to it."
I was referring to Freakwater, the band that was so redneck they were almost intellectual. I don't know how they did it, this song actually SMELLS like the clapboard houses out in the poverty dark hollows, with the smell of wood burning, farm found, moonshine and lust. It really is spooky. Gothic.
It's the south. It's dark. It's rock n roll. It's everything you could want.

@0CitizenOfTheWorl You have so much to learn about great music. Perhaps listen to something other than Pink Floyd. Keep at it or not ... your choice.
Great song, ladies!

This is like the bizzaro, surreal version of "Country Baptizing." I wish Gram could have heard this stuff. After all, he did pave the way.

I like what gurlsingerfan has to say about this song and I agree with the summation that this song is Gothic!
Words move, music moves, as T S Eliot so eloquently wrote.
This music moves like a girl walking alone in the forest, half-drunk and completely turned around.
