  • This is a really good tribute, you should feel good inside for making such a great tribute. It makes me remember the times when I thought about these man daily when I wanted to become a pilot which was a good feeling for me. Thanks :)

  • Great compilation, mate.

  • Thanks for posting these videos

  • Those guys were true hero's. And most of them were just a bunch of scared kids. Great video.

  • Thank you

  • On American Veterans day and as a vet myself. Gotta love these guys and this vid. Thanks for posting it.

  • "I've just heard algy is a poof"....Biggles.

  • i love the video

  • FAN-TÁS-TI-CO!!!!

  • Brave men and very skilled pilots, back then every thing was relied on the man flying.

  • bravest men, no parachutes, no comunication between them while in the air... MY RESPECTS WWI PILOTS!

  • The Germans were afraid of the Canadians.

  • @mckessa

And the Australians too. In fact a few Australian divisions played an important part in stopping the German spring offensive of 1918, a last desperate attempt to win the war before enough American troops arrived to tip the scales and thus make the war unwinnable in even the most optimistic scenario.

The Canadians did very well in Paschendeale too. Quite the muddy hell.

  • @McLarenMercedes Right on little brother......you know your stuff.....

  • at least they slept in beds not trenches

  • my moms moms dad was in the war he got the Medal of honor its hanging up on the wall, his brother was a pilots, we have his helmet and goggles

  • the bravest mem of all times, the WWI pilots

  • My Great Grandfather was an American pilot in WW1. Survived the war and was stabbed to death in 1926 in a Chicago mugging.

  • maneiro!!

  • Fantástico!!!

  • I feel that in every war it seems that pilots are viewed as being above the blood and mud on the ground. Still I dont see their job as any different from the soldier on the ground, killing their opponent. Still their airplanes had more colours then the infantrymen in the trenches.

  • I would like to give you my condolences to the ones that were related to you who died in ww1.

  • fantastic those pilots had balls and went through hell on both sides...great video music really puts in perspective.

  • Dang! I wish I had relatives who had served in this war!... Hm, actually, that might have been a bad thing... For them that is...

  • Simply beautiful....2 thumbs up!

  • Well done! These brave men need to be remembered and honored as well as all those who served in WW 1. It's overlooked far too often.

    Thanks for posting this video!

  • Cheers, most people forget about the RFC at this time of year, my great grandfather was in No.8 Squadron.

  • that's interesting. I agree with you, the RFC never gets a mention and it's a great shame. My great grandfather fought in the trenches from 1914 to 1918, but always wanted a transfer to the RFC. He eventually got it, but by this time the war had ended!! Great video.

  • @932sqn What plane he was in ?

  • @932sqn my great grandfather flew in an 'albatros', but first flight got shot down.

  • beautiful...
