3. What a counytry will be like if it could maintain 8% GDP years after years?!
No matter who you are, you'd better start to talk like Chinese, walk like Chinese, and act like Chinese because the world world belongs to China if that happens! LOL!
@karlhelvede Who's "she"?! This video is dated Dec 8, 2008, that is more than 2 years ago. Has China's economy "lost steam"?! China's GDP growth in 2009 and 2010 are still over 10% while all other countries are in deep recession. China has been leading the world in recovery for the past two years.
Be grateful to Chinese, you stupid retarded Viking savage!
I sometimes wonder if this whole economic mess is an attempt to cause nations like China and Russia to have mass civil unrest in order to prevent them from taking the center stage away from the U.S.. What better way to tie up there financial, civil, and military resources by having to contend/quell an unhappy population.
They are some of the worlds largest oil fields, and due to old age and mismanagement they are experiencing sharp decline rates. So there isn't enough oil to "back up" the credit based world economy. Though there surely are many moves being made by major players as far as power struggles go, the fundamental drive behind this downturn is an oil shock... The most serious one the world has ever endured... Better start a victory garden this year! :)
Not necessarily. The USA is in a good position to get serious about getting off of oil. Though the only thing the government can do is get out of the picture and let individuals be free enough to change their life styles radically. So I'm concerned about more regulation. Imagine trying to get a permit to do electrical experiments in your backyard? The solutions are going to have to be local. What works for me personally probably won't work for you, however, we can and will get through this!
I bet you didn't know that the world was on the edge of disaster due to consuming all of the worlds naturally fixed nitrogen right at the turn off the century? You see, electrical oxidation of nitrogen, and hydrocarbon energy made it so most of humanity never was aware of the danger we were in. I doubt this will be quite a smooth a transition as that, but anything is possible. We have so much knowledge, and we are free. Truly, all men are free to think of ways to make things better.
I didn't know about the nitrogen part. I hope the brainiacs of the world can come with something else soon. Something that is a lot cleaner as a fuel.
This Jing Ulrich of JP Morgan doesn't what she is talking about. Social Unrest if GDP below 8%?! What a joke!
Someone should tell her:
1. China got below 8% for many years before and no "social unrest" happened before.
2. Don't assume ANY country including China can maintain above 8% forever!
