@jetpowered1 That's......genius?? How the hell did I not think of that/try that?? Thank you for that tip!!! I'm definitely doing it that way next set I make.
@pcblah Its a different use. This isn't messy after it cools and a chunk can start a bunch of fire for you. I do like your vid though. Rigging a little fan and using that method is a great emergency use option I must say. Plus, any commando use of a can is good knowledge in my book.
Awesome method. Do you pour a ton of wax down in the tube or what? I am trying to wrap my head around the application of the wax using this method....
@chrismillerjr Yes, sorry. Was/am new to trying to make videos and actually explain anything.
I fill the tube with lint pretty full, light push-tight not press-in tight (if that makes sense). Then I found since that using a bamboo kitchen skewer to 'drill' some drain holes through the middle of the lint and down the side between the lint and tube (carefule not to put hole in tube, though. If you do, a piece of tape will do until its all cooled).
@chrismillerjr (pt.2) Sorry again. Takes a while too cool and soak the lint and carboard, so I think I pour about an ounce at a time to let drain. Leaving about an inch or so at the top empty of lint makes it easier, to. I now cut discs about two quarters thick off each 'log', then cut the disc in half, using that half piece only to start fires (lighting the frayed/cut cardborad part to atart) . I use it in my coffee can and my brick rocket stoves as well as in my burn barrel in the back yard.
Very nice idea, I like it!

can a person whittle a little off with a knife?
Strutingeagle 4 months ago
@Strutingeagle Yeah, you can. I just saw that tip on another video. Shave some off with a knife and use a steel stick thingy to start it up with.

Thanks for the info
BTW,I mixed my lint and hot wax in the pan first .
It worked easier that way for me.

Did you use an aiptek camera for this video? I have the same high-pitch noise when I use mine.

@gjmueller Actually I have a Samsung that we won from our car dealership. That whine is pretty annoying though (sorry)
