In Kayfabe, they were revealed to be brothers in the beginning of their tag team: Edge & Christian (before they were in the brood.). They later dropped the whole "brother" thing and made them best friends (again, kayfabe).

However, in real life, Edge & Christian are childhood friends who are most likely good friends today.
