To answer the question of speedo accuracy, one needs to investigate exactally how the insturnment collects is data or imput. Older mechanical cable driven dials had the most error because of internal friction from the hairsprings and were set up for accuracy at midrange of the dial. Newer speedos that collect data electronically are pretty much accurate within 1 %, if the data is collected at the transmission shaft and with factory size wheels and tires. @AntDX316 not necessary. because the engine is at the back, porsche's always have much more traction then 99% other cars. you could launch on public roads 10 times in a 911 and you would reach 7 times porsche's time. but if you take a car like the corvette or BMW M3, you probably never will reach gm's or bmw's times. look for 1/4 mile videos of the 911 turbo. you will see there's no slip and it looks like the turbo is on a rubber strap

@AntDX316 the details of performance are always a average of a lot test runs. depends on the cars, weather etc. porsche say official the 911 will do 0-100 km/h (62mph) in 3,6 sec. but with sporttyres and on racetracks (racetracks have a special asphalt ) the new 911 turbo with PDK is doing 0-100 km/h in 2,9-3,0-3,1 sec!!!

Yeah that would be awesome. The new 911 Turbo is just sick, with the new PDK and Sport Chrono Package Plus. On the Porsche website, they said it can go from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. Porsches in general are so relatively cheap, fast, light and practical.
