@mihutza79 ; Are You Retarded or Stupid ? The Only Reason Muslim Woman wear it is because they wanna follow Allahs Laws . & You Said you would wear a Scarf For Certain Occasions ? Your dumb hunny !
YusufAli: O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and NOT MOLESTED. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
How ridiculous. I just find it laughable the idea that showing your hair and that you're actually female is immodest. If men are oggling, that's their fault.
Women aren't sexless. Shouldn't men cover up to protect my feeble animal mind from lustful temptation? Where's the equality in that? I am a proud woman and have nothing to hide or be ashamed of. I think to cover up to hide what you look like is to be ashamed of the way you were born. I refuse to live my life that way.
poor girls, they are so concerned with not being perceived as a person and not receiving respect from men unless they wear a hijab... and to think about it it's just a piece of fabric... if i am to wear something to cover my hair and my neck it will be for practical reasons like protecting myself from sun or cold weather ...or because that scarf is pretty and it goes with my outfit... not because the sky daddy commands me to, or men won't respect me and will try to rape me or smth...
Christianity is just as bad as Islam, it's just Islam is a younger religion with greater influence on the government and society. That is not to say that i agree with the Hijab, rather i support religious freedom but personally find the idealogy of male ownership over women abhorrent and misogynistic.
Okay, the girls in this have some good points. But lets get down to the nuts and bolts of it: If a christian man and a muslim woman fell in love... why is that such an awful thing? Why would a LOVING god not allow that? It certainly wouldn't be a bad or evil thing. Love is the lifeblood of humanity... and its only savior.
I don't think god said wear a fucking hijab. Men should wear hijab too so people like them for there personality "ahahaha." Scared to talk back to a man? I dun even wanna continue seeing this BS
I am in love with being different but most people thank that different is silly. I am African American and I had decided to stop relaxing my hair. A lot of my friends and coworkers always had something negative to say to me about my hair. At first it really use to get up under my skin, now it dose not bother me at all. I wish my it was a part of my religion to wear a Hijab. I am learning more and more everyday.
The Islamofascists sexualise their young by cloaking young girls in tents and shutting them up in blacked out windows lest some beardo is inflamed to rape her. Mobile tents are not a mark of modesty but of ostentation.
How narcissistic must one be to think every man is going to pounce on you the moment he sees a strand of hair? The subjection of women is a core element of Islam. Men don't wear bags on their head. Just the women. Islam is a menace to our society. Out with the fanatics!
It's important to note that the bosoms should be covered with the veil, especially if you are wearing tight clothes. That is more modest and you will actually feel more comfortable if you wear the veil like that :) Peace...
"hijab" is arab culture and there is none verse in Quran where it say women have to wear scarf on there head, its basicly hair-fetishist who think hair are so sexy, thats why u have to cover them not just make other men too horny, but hair are not sexy, headscarf makes me much more horny then regular hair, because its like forbidden fruit game, so i want to know how it looks like. modesty yes- but hairfetish-no
Hijab is not the culture of Arab before Islam. Islam changed the culture of Arab. It is the simple. Try to see a girl who is wearing hijab will be have the strange light on her face. They look more beautiful than the others. But this hijab prevent you to think negative about her than the others.
Respect woman but dont step them down by covering them. the people in this world are not animals if we see an unraped candy we dont lick it , but we got to the store and get one then is our to do what we like
Just because a woman is not covert dose not mean that they are sluts infact what dont you MAN cover yourselfs so noone can see your dick loose in your pants or your discusting chest hair, whay is it not a sin for you, or is it cause the religion teaches us that man are more powerfull then man that is......
Respect woman but dont step them down by covering them. the people in this world are not animals if we see an unraped candy we dont lick it , but we got to the store and get one then is our to do what we like .
when people do sth which doesn't harm you .you speak with a big mouth.....when prostitution and sex is everywhere..knwoing tht they harm every single part of your ..LIFE..you keep on doing it and accepting it....be logical and stop talking abt wht you don't know...peace!
well if god wanted women to not show beauty then he wud have made them ugly. He made women have beauty for it to be shown .And it doesnt show respect it shows that there is control.
@markee871 the most beautiful things are covered? Like the sun? the clouds? the sky? I can tell you many things that are hideous and covered, as well as beautiful and not.
Modesty? I am a proud human woman. Not an oversexualised peversion of religion. I will never cover my body and hair in shame that I am a woman and might be found tempting. How insulting to imply men cannot focus their tiny animal minds with strands of hair on show.
So, what's the real reason for the Hijab? Umar wanted Allah to reveal to Muhammad verses pertaining the veiling of women. After his request was not met, Umar shamed one of Muhammad's wives by seeing her relieveing herself, and so Allah gave Muhammad the Hijab verses.
For number eight, you can tell if someone's attractive without having to see their hair...
The girl in number eleven is still having the same misconceptions.
He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab" (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).
He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab" (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).
The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. 'Umar used to say to the Prophet "Let your wives be veiled," but Allah's Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam'a the wife of the Prophet went out at 'Isha' time and she was a tall lady. 'Umar addressed her and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda."
No further disagreement until we get to the sixth clip. Muhammad didn't approve of women doing whatever they wished, that's made clear by his treatment of Sufiya, when he forced her to marry him after destroying her city, killing its male inhabitants (and torturing her husband before killing him) and enslaving the women and children. Plus, the Hadith gives us the real reason the Hijab was instated:
Her Hijab doesn't keep people from judging her based on her looks...they can still see her face, can't they? Even the Hijab itself causes some to judge...no matter what, people are materialistic and judgemental. Even the fact she's a woman will cause some to judge.
The second girl assumes God wants her to wear the Hijab, so this isn't really relevant to my position...
I wear hijab as a command from my Creator, Allah Who knows what is best for me and does not oppress me. It is Allah I am trying to please. One of the virtues of hijab is modesty. Modesty is not wrong, ugly or offensive to Allah. Hijab is an outward reflection of what is in the heart. Understanding why it is required to cover any of the body at all, is understanding why some people are required to cover as much of the body as possible.
Thank you so much for sharing your personal experience about the hijaab;I am very sure that this video will make a major difference to women who have not been confident or very hesitant about taking the hijaab. I know this video has made a major difference to my life.Keep up the good work n make some more of these videos to educate all women from different countries, cultures n walks of life. May Allah Ta'aala bless you n your family for spreading the knowledge of Islam!
Because I have pushed myself I know have a wonderful career in my feild of Fine arts, I have showed in galleries have good contacts. So it shows that you should never give up no matter what.I cover for Allah and for my husband, no other man deserves to see my body it is reserved for the one I love and if people cannot understand that or do not want to understand then that is their choice all I can do is tell the truth. Islam is very beautiful. And in the bible it tells women to cover as well :)
This is a great video, I wish that more people would watch it. I am a Canadian who wears the hijab. I was originally a catholic and converting to a Muslim and I completely agree that it was 100% my choice to wear it, I feel more beautiful wearing the hijab and covering then when I didn't. The hijab has allowed. Alot of people are very rude towards the hijab and I have struggle in the work world because of it, but I kept pushing myself and not allowing people to hurt me because of what I wear.
I have decided to stop the comments section. Due to bad language, which has been used by ill and sick minded people also saying things without no proof against islam and muslims.
Finally my sincere advice to all you is spread the good words/videos and please stop lieing against islam. Islam teaches us to be just and fair with other faiths and muslim history is full of mercy. So Please read about islam and Quran with open heart before you start swearing and use rude language against islam.

Does it really have to do with modesty, fashion, or being treated equally?
The real reason comes from the quran;
Sura 33:59
YusufAli: O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and NOT MOLESTED. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

thats an ignoran thting to say! we were born naked, but do we walk around naked(well some do)
but if u look at all precious/beautiful things..therye hidden. GOLD,DIAMONDS,PEARLS, even roses have thorns to protects it.
women in Islam are more precious then all of these, that is why women wear hijab.
please get educated about Islam, 70% of converts to Islam are women..despite the FALSE claims ppl like u have.

For thirteen, that's their sexism...and I doubt many would not be distracted who otherwise would because they can't see her hair.
The girl in sixteen apparently thinks all men have some sort of unhealthy, hyper-perverted clinical obsession with hair.
