well traditionally people where black to mourne the loss of a loved one..but now its been kinda of modernized..we where white to celebrate the life of our loved ones that have made it to the other side..but its not like a samoan custom or anything cuz there's still samoans that where black at funerals..i guess its just your preference : )

Because it was Sunday, we wear white to church on Sundays. Black is usually worn on the day of burial which would fall on the Monday.
