It wasn't released on the Official Movie Soundtrack in the United States. But it was included on the Japanes release of the Soundtrack (In fact every tune in the movie is on the more comprehensive Japanese release). I was friends with some of the guys (The Wanderers) and was there during the filming. After the film was released Ken Wahl (Richie) went to Japan to promote the movie and brought me back a copy of the superior Japanese version of the soundtrack. It's on Ebay every so often.

Haha not to be a dick, but this is based in the 60s. But it's very similar to the whole line of 50s gang movies and is a great film. "Jim Youngs" is the actor who plays Buddy in the movie, so it's presumable that the actor himself just wrote the song for the movie.
