Hm, he probably had gum in his mouth. Idk. It's probably just me but have you noticed that he chews cute. If you watch some of his movies in his younger days, he has this chew, its so sexy. Yeah, I know that sounds so ridiculous and weird. What did you mean by "same!"?
ever hear the incredible story of how he got his first big break ever? Even before he was Equity? (theater actor's union for those who don't know...) He was living in the basement of a high school working as a janitor, the playwright Israel Horovitz saw him in a play in someone's living room and wanted him for his Off-Broadway play The Indian Wants the Bronx...he still had to audition though...needless to say, he blew them all away : - )
are you talking about "dynasty"? yes she did that in the 80's...and of course "julia" in the late 60's before that...she has a new series on the USA network starting in a few weeks called "White Collar"! (and yes DC is the definition of class, i love her!)
Thanks for sharing! Unbelievable... that's Al Pacino before The Godfather... He had no idea what kind of genieus he'll be in a few years... Hmm... life's so unpredictable... That's why... never give up on your dreams guys... cause they can come true when u least expect it... (to all good people)
Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this, PattyDukeTheatre! :)
I really loved the Patty Duke show when I was little (reruns on Nick) and Sean Astin is great. ;) (I used to watch "White Water Summer" over and over and over and over!)
My word- as tiny as Patty Duke!

Interesting to note that Al was nominated with an actor named Richard Castellanos who went on to play Clemenza in The Godfather.

Aww, he's so cute in this clip <3 Looks a little like James McAvoy, I think.. Only a little, though. ;p

what a strange coincidence ! he received the award by Patty Duke, star of the film in which he made his debut and released three months later
plus Richard Castellano, who played Clemenza, was also nominated in the same category
and Diane Keaton was also nominated that night!

I had no idea that Al Pacino won a Tony. Nor that he is so short. He is shorter than Patty Duke and she is pretty short.

HEY this is great to see ~ I guess PATTY DUKE sort of already knew Al Pacino since he had a small role in her movie out at the time,
"Me, Natalie". I didn't quite catch what was said by (Alan King?) about "showing up"?
