  • Just love Pacino's character Roy Cohn.He plays it so fucking perfect.Loves the part when he getting dressed back up after his Physical exam.while his Doctor is telling him about the origin of the HIV virus and the way it work in the human body.Pacino's face is priceless when he says:"It's very interesting but why the fuck are you telling me this"

  • can someone explain to me is ray outwardly expressing he is in denial....or is he making a point

  • Slightly ironic that 'you are a' is 'je bent'.

  • I cannot believe I've never even heard of this show. I am absolutely inlove with Justin Kirk & Mary-Louise Parker, (obviously I'm a Weeds fan).

  • Roy Cohn is not a homosexual, he´s heterosexual who fuck with guys haha

  • This film is just perfect.

Shame they banned it at my school, so many students will be left oblivious to the common issues on this Earth.

  • @Resurrected2011 What do you mean they banned it? From being shown on school grounds in the capacity of being used as an element of the curriculum? Or in the capacity of using it in a theatrical production for your drama program? Do you attend a public school or a private institution? I do not want to be overly litigious sounding, but when I hear of schools "banning" things, it makes me want to be litigious.

  • The scene with Roy and his doctor was my favorite part when I read the play, and its still my favorite part after seeing it. Classic closet-case logic: I'm straight, I just fuck around with men. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

  • Defensive, aren't we, Prior?

  • it is amazing that a powerful man like Roy Cohn, who thought he had 'clout', who could call Reagan on speed dial, who persecuted gays and ends up dying with AIDS. I say, God is great. Karma is a bitch! he he he

  • @Basra2020 judge not, lest ye be

  • @effingya seriously? r u defending roy cohn from a christian point of view or a republican point of view? I am confused. :)

  • Wow,this is incredible.I'm so glad I finally decided to watch it.

  • Isn't Roy Cohns discription of what he IS.... can be described as being on the "down low" interesting

  • Pacino delivers that monologue so sincerely; it's phenomenal.

  • @witt19800 You're alone there...

  • @ffmusicdj No I'm not not.

  • How so?

  • AUSTRALIA had the fastest response to the HIV/AIDS Crisis in the early 1980s with every state creating AIDS COUNCILS

Thanks to the Labor Prime Minister Bob Hawke

Thus AUSTRALIA has one of the lowest infection rates in the develped western world.

    16,000 people infected to date

  • @sydneygayboi At the end of 2009, an estimated 20,171 people were living with an HIV diagnosis in Australia. That does not include those people who have been given the diagnosis of full-blown AIDS. Let me assure you that Australia's low infection rate per capita has little to do with government intervention under any administration, and far more to do with the fact that the country is highly isolated with only small densely populated areas. According to data from amfAR, it has far less to do...

  • ...with political recognition and intervention than it does with geography and stringent screening of incoming foreigners who plan on taking up residence. If AU is heralded for anything, it should be for its ability to screen immigrants from gaining a foothold in the population. It is absolutely true that AU has one of the lowest infection rates on the planet, and others countries would do well to follow its screening protocols. I attended World Aids Day in NSW, and it was quite enlightening.

  • In 1985 even Roy cohen couldnt get help from reagan or his wife, because in 1985 Aids didnt exist in the Reagans white house. It's reagans sad legacy, that he didnt help those many Aids afflicted because of Judgemental bigotry. 1 LIFE

  • That`s one of the reasons that he was a shit president

  • Thanks very much for posting this!

I'm going to go to an audition for the stage version next week :)

  • With an H, Henry, and it isn't Hemophiliac! =)

    Pacino is awesome.

  • "I forgot the question. Oh yeah, God? Is my husband a homo?" haha, so funny.

  • i say this seen on dutch lelevison yertserday, its realy good because of the labeling, the word gay is a label thats negative, the women wo schowd this sad, in the past the was no problem whit gay or slepping whit man, name it, label it and it becomes somthing bad, Hetro becomes the norm and gau becomes not good that way, its hard to typ, but we label much to much stuf, words labeling etc

  • It's not the label of gay which is destructive, it is the denial. Denial ruins lives, ruins families. Of course hetero is the norm; without which the human race & all other animals, for that matter, would have become extinct. Homosexuality has always existed in both humans & animals & is one of nature's ways of combating over-population. Denying your essential nature or worse still, lying about it to significant others & therefore destroying many more lives, is destructive.

  • the label is also destrictive, si is denail, but i ment the part whit pacino and the dockter about cloud, thats what i ment about a label.i dont like to cal me self bi seksual, iam human who loves man and woman, no big deal, but givving it a explicit name so often as happens in media and evrywehere, it becaomes a label, what isnt the norm, so do you kind of seperate yourself, of soceity doesm the norm is oke because reprodution and stuf, but it oke to label gay so much, cant explain it better

  • Unless you can be absolutely honest with everyone with whom you become involved, early in the relationship, it is a very, very big deal indeed. Many lives are ruined by the duplicity.

  • You make a valid point I feel. Unfortunately I also feel that attention must be drawn to the issue to raise awareness of the existence of 'alternative' sexual orientations. Personally I'd like a little recognition for us bisexuals. The number of times I've been told that I'm just confused by both hetro and homosexuals it's getting me down.

  • @Pooknottin agreed. bixexuals get shit from both sides, because everyone seems to need someone to shit on.

  • @Charr3169

Thankyou very much for that. :D

  • @Pooknottin It's amazing that well-meaning people keep denying that bisexuality exists. The fact is, most gay people I know are a little bit bisexual (and so are most of the straight people I know, if they're willing to admit it.) I'm just about the only purely gay man I've ever met :)

  • @Pooknottin I'd say FUCK what anyone says about your bi-sexuality. You are no more confused than any homo or heterosexual person. You are who you are when you are born. You can argue that homosexuality is a choice! Is it? It's open to each individuals interpretation. Embrace and love who you are and know that your sexuality DOES NOT identify who you are; and DO NOT allow it to be so.

  • I was partnered with one of the best girls in my class to do the Joe-Harper scene in the last part and this part - it's a challenging scene, with the necessary dancing around each other's words. We had a bit more forcefulness in the scene, though - not nearly as quiet, few spaces between the lines... but an argument with some ups and downs that left both Joe and Harper properly uneasy and unsatisfied. It was so much fun to put together and perform, and we were both quite happy with the result.

  • Just ou of curiosity is your username derivative of firefly?

  • @browncoatkevin this is a long shot, but did you perform this scene at dtasc?

  • Pacino is good, man.

  • amazing

  • @moodyjenny86 not in this movie! lol
