Hey Mark, I'm running into a issue where my Star Trac 7600 slow down button and decline doesn't work. I read you're response to dewaynecullen and you mention it could be the keypar overlay. Could this be the same thing with my treadmill and when you say keypad overlay, what exactly is that?
Hi mark, I have a proform 740cs. The end cap is plastic. each has a hole that you can put an allen wrecch to adjust the rollers. but my end cap holes are broken. I can adjust the screws but it doesnt seem to do anything. Should a washer be on the outside of the end caps for the rollers to tighen?
most of the time when it's a speed sensor, The treadmill will run for 30 sec's or so then shut down with an error code. If you can push the belt with your foot and trick the treadmill to think it's running and you get a speed reading, it's not the sensor and more likely the lower board or motor brushes.
i need more info. What brand and model. If it's not going to it's top speed it can be fixed. If it works and you just want it to go faster, it can't be fixed.
@knifetoenail Hi knifetoenail, I have a Weslo Cadence 835. The treadmill just stops abruptly after 5 minutes of usage. Do you know the problem? Could it be the speed sensor?
hey Mark - I have a Vision Quest T9700 treadmill that the slow down button doesn't work - another words it will go up in speed but won't descend - it is an LED screen on the control panel and that is the only button that doesn't work - do I need a whole new control board? Thanks, Dewayne -n Knoxville
I have a Nordictrack TS Terrain Simulator. I'am trying yo replace the belly pan. I have disconnected the power cord, switch, and hold down screws. It looks like I need to remove more wires and brackets?
I know one thing, if the motor ever goes out on my NordicTrack E4400 ,the motor alone costs almost $600 , it's already 5 years old almost, I will forever regret not having gotten the SOLE F85, I looked at SOLE treadmills but passed on it, they have a great warranty on their treadmills, my NordicTrack E4400 will probably play out within the next 2 yrs., NordicTrack warranties are shee-ite
my walking deck is worn out. Not willing to pay $400 for a new deck and belt. Thinking about installing a teflon sheet between the deck and belt and using the old belt to see how long that lasts.
@sfg911 If the belt is good you might get by with flipping the deck. You didn't say what model treadmill you have. That Teflon would have to be thin to keep the belt from getting scuffed by the lip at the edge of the sheet. How would you secure the teflon? If the sheet shifted your doctor bills might be more than $400.00.
@LP61RI I installed the teflon sheet 18 months ago. I've used it for hundreds of hours. The teflon made it a little noisier than before but still works great! Before it would stutter and even stop suddenly from the friction. The teflon sheet was from a sliding exercise pad I picked up on eBay for cheap and cut to fit with plain house scissors then nailed it to the deck on the edges. I also put treadmill lubricant under the belt. Have not touched it since.
No more excuse that my incline is stuck on my treadmill. Your video helped me fix my treadmill. Thx's KT

My Life Styler Expanse 2000, Model 831 297271, SN E31244130 somehow
has a broken motor speed disc, and I would like to buy a replacement
speed disc so I can repair it. I need only to buy or make a replacement disc.
Do you know a source to provide this part (part number 115063)? Or a
good material to make one from?

Mark...how are you making any money from these free videos?

the keypad over are the buttons you push to start, stop, incline ect..
It's like a bumper sticker with bubble buttons inside.
Yes it could be. I don't have a video for this.

Hi,
Yea the bolt broke thru the end cap. I have taken washers bigger that the hole to
push on the outside of thep. It worked. You will have to pull like crazy on the belt to get the bolt started.
GOOD LUCK

I no longer have the free treadmill due to people posting porn on the sight.
Any free help will have to be totally through e-mails.
Sorry the few can ruin it for the rest.

Hi,
Call the manufacture and see if they will sell just the keypad overlay.
That may be all you need to replace.

hi Mark,
I have a question regarding a new running belt .
Do these come in a looped shape? or is the belt just one long piece that needs to be connected afterwards?
I mean, are they already preapred to be fitted? or must they first be fitted then glued together?
Thanks:)

@prometheusyac They are shipped in a looped shape.
