I don't know about that-the two moves are totally different mechanics. I think it's harder to generate the height you need from off the hips like in the Comaneci to recatch the same bar-timing must be spot on. Few performed the Comaneci then-and even now due to it's difficulty. Many however performed what I think is called the Radochla-beat to straddle front catch facing the high bar. I think the second (facing the low bar) is called the Brause.

By a technical standpoint the Comaneci is harder, you are correct.
