@RealAkiza i want to see marty out of a job. i cannot stand that man. he was good doing the trucks in 99 and 2000 but everywhere else he sucked. f1 and motocross pit reporting, drag racing, indycar, and nascar cup and nns. get rid of marty. i want to se bob back in nascar though i'm fine with him staying in indycar. get paul page back to indycar. as good as he is in drag racing i miss his indycar commentary.
I think that ESPN should have a retro week where they bring back some old themes and people, and let us relish in our nostalgia. Like randomly before a Nationwide race just cut in with the old Speedworld theme and Allen Bestwick can do his best Bob Jenkins impersonation...ahhh but I can only dream.
@CookieDude1178999 That's what they did for the legends race at Bristol last year. They used an intro that was a montage of the old Speedworld intros (that sadly ended with the shitty theme they use now). They even used the classic ESPN logo with the track around it.

Actually, I think ESPN's best motorsports material comes from Paul Page, Mike Dunn, and the NHRA. But again, even that doesn't compare to Speedworld's coverage. And now legends like Dave McLelland and Ken Squire are only on a few times in the year. Of all motorsports bradcasters, I think Darrell Waltrip and David Hobbs are the most entertaining.

at the time Fox was willing to put down something like 16 billion or million to NASCAR, just for the first half of the season for the next like 7 years. ESPN thought it was outrageous and they didnt feel like dumping that much to NASCAR at the time. Thats why. Sad but true.
That's pretty good, but still not the good old days. IMO, they need to replace Jerry punch and let Allen Bestwick go up with Petree and Jarrett. Allen Bestwick is much better than Jerry Punch.
