Just a note on the SAS chap. Firstly, he's definitely not non-commissioned as the three pips on his shoulder indicates a captain. Also there is a slight inaccuracy that he, for some reason, has both SAS badges, but also badges from the 3rd Para Brigade (the pegasus).

The description of these uniforms is seriously flawed. The helmet used has captain's bars and yet is used for officer and enlisted uniforms.The same thing for army uniform of the day. They all have captain's bars. And here is a whopper. Who has seen a US Marine Admiral wearing captain's bars on his dress blues? Oh and the US pilot was actually a tank crewman from the 3rd US Army. The airborne captain is actually a British paratrooper. The SAS Noncom is actually a commissioned officer

0:37 is actually a marine not army 1:13 that is actuallu the USAAC, the air force wasnt untill 1947 1:17, same as previous. 1:23 that is a tanker not a pilot. 1:37 Calgary is Canadian not British. 3:14 that is a french airforce officer not army. 3:42 there is no such thing as a foreman he is a late war heer soldier. 5:07 he is not a major he is just in the Gestapo.

@affanza Well,German helmets have a slender shape and a good cover system for the ears, compared to other helmets. This is why today they are used by many armed forces, such as SWAT, Police, Special forces, artillery men and sappers.

After WW2 the US army learnt from that and their improved equipment just reflected the German practicality. Yes, even SWAT teams, Police SonderEinsatzKommando's and such like benifitted from this design :-)

mistakes, 82nd Airborne sergent has captain's bars and the private has the same bars on a grey helmet, they were green, privates did not carry 45 caliber pistols. machine gun Army private is actually wearing a USMC uniform & is has a Browning Automatic Rifle, not a machine gun. no such thing as a USMC Admiral, this is actually a USMC captain, there was no US Air Force officers or enlisted men in WWII, they were US Army Air Corps which later became the US Air Force. Otherwise it was pretty good.

I liked the german army (or SS) during the Nazi occupation. i liked their uniforms weapons and tactics. their treatment to jews, gypsies, poles, and russians are the thing i hated about them. I wanted to get an American, Soviet Union, Nazi, and Imperial Japan flag and put one on the 4 sides of my room there are. I love WWII and i love the military customs and weapons that came with it.
