Normally it is the romantic couple's declaration of love that is the climax but, well you could say that this one has a double climax, but for me Rose's (and Cosmo's) declaration blows, Nick Cage's right out of the water.

For me it's the scene at the end as the camera slowly goes to the picture on the wall of the Grandparents from the old country. It reminds me of my own family memories. That's when I really Cry.

This movie always makes me homesick for my brooklyn days as a kid. the house is perfect. the depiction of the italian family is right on. Olympia Dukakis does the best job besides the grandfather & neither 1 is actually Italian. guess it falls under the same dynamic as why Barbara Streisand & Barry Manilow had the best Christmas music. btw i'm 37 with the nostalgia & sentiment of a 100 sumthin year old. which btw does not go ova big in 2days society.

Her mother (Rose) reminds me of my aunt growing up. She'd hit us with her sandal when we did something dumb. The pinch reminded me of her. She's great. I love the character.

What can I say. An excellent end to an excellent movie. Not a huge romantic comedy type of guy, but this is a good combination of both romance and comedy that can't be beat. When it first came out I thought it was a chick flick until I seen it and laughed all the way through the magic. There will never be another Moonstruck.
