@lotsofsurgerkisses UTAU is like vocaloid but free. There are many famous UTAUloids that sound like a real vocaloid too. I don't know how to better explain it. Maybe someone else will explain it better XD
@lotsofsurgerkisses xD AlcehmistAleks had a good explanation; if you need more detail, UTAU is a free voice synthesis program. xD It lets you make your own UTAU by recording certain syllables. (but if you download it, you have to do a tutorial to get it working in english...) but you can also download other voicebanks (teto for example.) UTAUloids like teto are the result of hard work and skill with UTAU :D
Shes cute; but this is so emotionless ;_; Just like the majority of the Vocaloids. I think this is a Rin song only. Because it reflects her life.. so yeah xP; Teto is great, especially now, but she couldn't pull this song off in my opinion.
@MomoChanna I'll be honest with you, I think most of the songs that Teto covers puts more emotion into it. For example, look at Miku's "Final Reason", and then Teto's cover. You'll see what I mean.

UTAUloid is a free program, and not as good quality. Alot of the voices sound alot more robotic. It is also difficult to use. VOCALOID costs money, but it's alot easier to use and the voices sound more 'human' if used properly.
@paranoidxgrace UTAU is not a knockoff, it's just a slightly lower quality of Vocaloid and is freeware... And besides, I personally think it's better because I like the robotic type of voice that most of the UTAUloids have, and the fact that you can make your own by recording syllables, which is why there are soooo many.
@Zwergie222 I agree. I prefer UTAU over Vocaloid. When explaining the concept/difference between UTAU and Vocaloid it's easier to explain and understand for the person learning if I said 'knockoff' rather than explain in detail. I know the difference between the two but for someone who has no clue, using words that are simple help them understand. Which was what I was attempting to do.

@ThexRandomxShyxGirl Umm, I had the same problem. What I did was uninstalled her and then reinstalled while in the right computer locale for her to work. I'm not sure if it'll fix your problem, but that's how I did it. I think it was because my UTAU didn't recognize the names for her frequency files while in the English locale...
LADIES! Everyone has their own personal taste. Why do we have to fight about this? Each Vocaloid and UTAUloid has their strengths and weaknesses. If you don't like a particular song, don't go around saying you hate it. Simply look for a different song. You can't convince a person to like your type of music because you want them to. ACCEPT that and move on.

But that is still kind of true as Kasane Teto is in fact 31, and she still looks 15! That's due to her unique race though.

Teto just wins. All her versions of other songs, to me at least, seem to be better and have more emotion! I love the fact, that unlike Vocaloid's they UTAUloids have a more robotic sound! Although I love Vocaloid's too. Teto is just the best! x3 This song is better than Rin's version!!! Awesome! x3

@lotsofsurgerkisses UTAU is like vocaloid but free. There are many famous UTAUloids that sound like a real vocaloid too. I don't know how to better explain it. Maybe someone else will explain it better XD

@lotsofsurgerkisses xD AlcehmistAleks had a good explanation; if you need more detail, UTAU is a free voice synthesis program. xD It lets you make your own UTAU by recording certain syllables. (but if you download it, you have to do a tutorial to get it working in english...) but you can also download other voicebanks (teto for example.) UTAUloids like teto are the result of hard work and skill with UTAU :D

Shes cute; but this is so emotionless ;_; Just like the majority of the Vocaloids. I think this is a Rin song only. Because it reflects her life.. so yeah xP; Teto is great, especially now, but she couldn't pull this song off in my opinion.

@MomoChanna I'll be honest with you, I think most of the songs that Teto covers puts more emotion into it. For example, look at Miku's "Final Reason", and then Teto's cover. You'll see what I mean.

UTAUloid is a free program, and not as good quality. Alot of the voices sound alot more robotic. It is also difficult to use. VOCALOID costs money, but it's alot easier to use and the voices sound more 'human' if used properly.

@paranoidxgrace UTAU is not a knockoff, it's just a slightly lower quality of Vocaloid and is freeware... And besides, I personally think it's better because I like the robotic type of voice that most of the UTAUloids have, and the fact that you can make your own by recording syllables, which is why there are soooo many.

When explaining the concept/difference between UTAU and Vocaloid it's easier to explain and understand for the person learning if I said 'knockoff' rather than explain in detail. I know the difference between the two but for someone who has no clue, using words that are simple help them understand. Which was what I was attempting to do.

@ThexRandomxShyxGirl Umm, I had the same problem. What I did was uninstalled her and then reinstalled while in the right computer locale for her to work. I'm not sure if it'll fix your problem, but that's how I did it. I think it was because my UTAU didn't recognize the names for her frequency files while in the English locale...

LADIES! Everyone has their own personal taste. Why do we have to fight about this? Each Vocaloid and UTAUloid has their strengths and weaknesses. If you don't like a particular song, don't go around saying you hate it. Simply look for a different song. You can't convince a person to like your type of music because you want them to. ACCEPT that and move on.
