6:47 points were BS for the take down. The takedown was not even finished and he gave Kron points. Again at 6:59. If that's the way the points go for an unfinished take down, then Kron gets it. If it were the other way around he would have not give Cooper the points. I've seen it all before.

Kron should not have gotten two points in the first place though because he didin't finish the takedown and even if he did IMO bill dictated the pace of the fight and should have won a refs decision anyways. Those were advantages and not 2 pts but the ref is going to give it to Rickson's son so he awarded 2 pts. But the whole thing was a scramble. 3 seconds have to be counted on an established controlled position after a take down or any position you advance to. Turtle was not established nor controlled.

Coop got stuck playing defense for most of the match (defending subs). Kron kept putting on subs left and right, Coop did a hell of a job defending though. But I think Kron won because of that alone.
Coop was better for most of the fight but Kron got the last two take downs and won by points. Two take downs are two take downs. Coop was just going for the win when he should have gone for the finish. Kron won and it had nothing to do with his name. You saw the two take downs and they were legit. Anyone can argue that they were cheated, anyone! Coop was the better player but Kron was the strategist, he caught Coop when he was relaxed and thought becasuse time was close to ending that he'd won!

Bottom line Kron was the more aggressive and went after Coop, Coop was on the defensive most of the fight.....They were evenly matched and it's not like Kron dominated Coop or Coop dominated Kron for the most part it was a tussle match no real winner no real decisive action so I don't know what all the fuss is about Kron being given a decision unfairly it could have gone either way!
In my unbiased opinion the point system needs to be better defined. It was a great match. Kron's 2 omoplata attempts, and two takedown attempts at the end show he was more aggressive at pressing the action. He also had a takedown attempt at the beginning. Bill's big advantage was his attempt at passing guard where he received an advantage. Bill received a takedown in which I thought was not really anattempt since Kron fell to guard.

Royler Gracie was not there. It was Rickson coaching Kron.
Cleber Luciano (the ref) is a black belt under Rickson/Royler and thus he added his bias in awarding the takedown points to Kron Gracie. Those were not takedowns since Kron failed to control his opponent after attempting to take Bill down. Bill defended the takedowns and got up instantly. Cleber is the worst ref and shouldn't be allowed to ref any of Kron's fights due to bias and favoritism to Rickson.
According to CBJJ rules if the person being taken down touches his butt or back on the mat 2 points are INSTANTLY awarded. If he falls to his side, the top man must maintain top position for 3 seconds. (i have done the CBJJ referee course recently)

what are you talking about? Kron's match at X-Mission was supposed to be against Cooper, but Cooper never fought because he was injured. Kron faced Andy Wang instead, the match was won on points. I would love to see Kron face Cooper, gi or no gi. Kron's technique has become alot more refined and sharper. It would be an excellent match.
The word is that Kron has sparred with Cooper and Jeff Glover since this match, and he dominates them both. Not that it matters what the word is, because I'm sure Kron will face both Cooper and Glover in competition in the near future.
i saw the early takedown by both fighters. then kron threw three oma attempts, several cross chokes, and was overall more active. then i saw bill run like hell at the end of the match as he thought he was ahead. i see advantage kron.

Kron is awesome. The top guys watch him, Felipe costa said "he is very calm and composed". Bill couldn't pass his guard, or take him down clean. Kron played defense to a T.
Really could have gone either way. Kron did look like he had a really good guard. Cooper is an unreal talent though. These guys will face each other a bunch more times over the coming years.
Tough to call. I think they gave it to Kron because he was much more active in searching for submissions. Even though Bill was controlling position for most of the fight.
Altough Bill fought a tremendous fight according to the scoring that I saw. Kron won the fight on advantage points. Only! You have to pass the gaurd completely to get those points. If this had been an MMA fight on the other hand Bill would have been in very nice position to land some bombs.

Coop got stuck playing defense for most of the match (defending subs). Kron kept putting on subs left and right, Coop did a hell of a job defending though. But I think Kron won because of that alone.

Coop was better for most of the fight but Kron got the last two take downs and won by points. Two take downs are two take downs. Coop was just going for the win when he should have gone for the finish. Kron won and it had nothing to do with his name. You saw the two take downs and they were legit. Anyone can argue that they were cheated, anyone! Coop was the better player but Kron was the strategist, he caught Coop when he was relaxed and thought becasuse time was close to ending that he'd won!

Kron finished second at pans. Cooper lost his first match (though give him credit for showing, he had an MMA match the day before and he showed up at the pans with a swollen eye).

looked like 2-2. maybe kron won by advantage? kron never shoulda gotten the points for the takedown. he never established control. it shoulda been 2-0 for cooper.

Bottom line Kron was the more aggressive and went after Coop, Coop was on the defensive most of the fight.....They were evenly matched and it's not like Kron dominated Coop or Coop dominated Kron for the most part it was a tussle match no real winner no real decisive action so I don't know what all the fuss is about Kron being given a decision unfairly it could have gone either way!

In my unbiased opinion the point system needs to be better defined. It was a great match. Kron's 2 omoplata attempts, and two takedown attempts at the end show he was more aggressive at pressing the action. He also had a takedown attempt at the beginning. Bill's big advantage was his attempt at passing guard where he received an advantage. Bill received a takedown in which I thought was not really anattempt since Kron fell to guard.

Royler Gracie was not there. It was Rickson coaching Kron.
Cleber Luciano (the ref) is a black belt under Rickson/Royler and thus he added his bias in awarding the takedown points to Kron Gracie. Those were not takedowns since Kron failed to control his opponent after attempting to take Bill down. Bill defended the takedowns and got up instantly. Cleber is the worst ref and shouldn't be allowed to ref any of Kron's fights due to bias and favoritism to Rickson.

According to CBJJ rules if the person being taken down touches his butt or back on the mat 2 points are INSTANTLY awarded. If he falls to his side, the top man must maintain top position for 3 seconds. (i have done the CBJJ referee course recently)

what are you talking about? Kron's match at X-Mission was supposed to be against Cooper, but Cooper never fought because he was injured. Kron faced Andy Wang instead, the match was won on points. I would love to see Kron face Cooper, gi or no gi. Kron's technique has become alot more refined and sharper. It would be an excellent match.

The word is that Kron has sparred with Cooper and Jeff Glover since this match, and he dominates them both. Not that it matters what the word is, because I'm sure Kron will face both Cooper and Glover in competition in the near future.

exactly, if you want to get technical, Kron should have had points for an earlier take down. Bill, attempts a leg lock, but Kron ends up on top.

i saw the early takedown by both fighters. then kron threw three oma attempts, several cross chokes, and was overall more active. then i saw bill run like hell at the end of the match as he thought he was ahead. i see advantage kron.

dude, I've entered gracie jiu-jitsu tournaments and believe me when I say that unless you tap or just straight up own a more popular gracie fighter.you arent gonna win the match!if its close on points shit wont get called and you'll end up losing.I've seen it to many times.ask any competitor thats not a gracie who has competed in a gracie tourney how corrupt their tourney's are.and its not even for money I dont understand why they do it either.

Kron is awesome. The top guys watch him, Felipe costa said "he is very calm and composed". Bill couldn't pass his guard, or take him down clean. Kron played defense to a T.

Altough Bill fought a tremendous fight according to the scoring that I saw. Kron won the fight on advantage points. Only! You have to pass the gaurd completely to get those points. If this had been an MMA fight on the other hand Bill would have been in very nice position to land some bombs.
