  • Thanks for all of your videos!!!! I am going in for surgery on Wednesday and you have really helped me through the pre op process!!!!!

  • lol Sergio Leone's true legacy.

  • I miss food. I never hear lapbanders say that. But I do I miss it

  • I have had my band for a year. And I still struggle with not being able to eat food other people do like a cheeseburger with bun lol. I hate the stuck feeling hate it. Im so hungry my brain knows im hungry but I can't eat like I want to. But I love everything else.

  • i am having the lap band january 31 i am so scared

  • i had this lapband one years ago , is really help me pick up my confidence and started new life. Actually, it's safe and effective, i lost 30 pounds. i only have 115pounds now.i have this operation in southcoastlapband, it's best place to make my dream come true.

  • Wow. Thanks for being so brutally honest. That is awesome

  • I got mine 7/12/11. Getting 1st fill soon. Im starving for some eggplant paresian but, other than that I've LOST INTEREST IN FOOD. My uncle was banded 8/20/10 and he's dropped 113lbs to date.

  • I'm considering the surgery, what for example are foods and quantities you eat for breakfast, how much, "1-2" bites is that a normal meal for you, what is a normal meal for you when it doesn't come up, 1-3 bites, 3-4 just trying to get a good idea.. Thx for the advice.

  • I like your videos Wendy. It woould have helped if you mentioned what the wrong food(s) were that you ate.

  • @saida287 i did. chicken wings. they are now on my do not eat list.

  • thanks for this video

  • Thank you for being real! I am proud of you!

  • here's my story: (put youtube . com/ ) watch?v=h4z5lKyZ5OE

  • yep you gotta work with the band...how else would we get music?

kidding. these videos are great wendy your just fuckin real. uncut shit i like that

  • Thanks for sharing so frankly ... and now I know what a pb is! Have had the band since 12/13/2010 and have experienced everything you've talked about. I've finally reached a point where I let the band talk and I listen rather than try to forcefeed beyond the band's capacity. Your vids help -- (enjoyed the curious cat in the background.)

  • i love this video, thanks so much for posting.

  • Why have 4 people disliked this??! BandedWendy is a true inspiration and she is baring her soul in this vid. Thank you so much for your honesty, Wendy! That's why I love your video's and that's why I'm giving you a big phat LIKE

  • @nickyb81 thanks!

  • =[

  • Banded Wendy: Banding date is 4/15/11. I find your posts honest & forthright.

    Thanks!

  • @loveabounds awesome! see you on the loser's bench.

  • Thank you for posting this!!

  • this is the first time ive looked at bands on you tube and this was very informative , thanks . im off to see the doc next week for my first consultation , already recieved lots of paperwork from the health service looks daunting but need to have this done . once again , thanks :)

  • i been looking around for sum medicaid or ins. no one is paying for the lapband i just want to know who pays for it

  • Great info. You look a good weight anyway. Cheers.

  • You are so cute!

  • @ProjectChick28 Your Dietritionist should have explained to you that fater getting the band you're not allowed to have any red meats. Any other meats like chicken has to be pureed or taken in very small bites. Hope this helps your question if it hasn't already been answered =).

  • @KheiraC After**

  • Darlin', why don't you get a recipe for a meal shake (I have one if you need), and stay away from kid food! Liquid power meal shakes are high-potency, and take little space, and are easiest to digest. Highest octane, lowest tummy space!

  • i like how you are keeping it real... thanks

  • I don't get the treadmill. Just walk outside and get fresh air instead.

    That is what I do.

  • You present a lot of good points. This is valuable information. Thanks much!

  • I thank you , your right i come on here to get insite to the lap Band as i will be having it in the near future. no one tells the bad and the ugly and those are the things i want to hear. so thank you very much for posting such a blunt video its nice to hear all of the bad with the good lol

  • how much weight have you lost to date?

  • Thanks for telling it like it is. You are doing a great service to those of us that are thinking about getting the lap band.

  • You remind me so much of my friend Jen, you look and sound like her. lol what was your beging wieght and your goal weight? I am 218 lbs at 5'3 and jsut turned 28 with two girls 4years old and alomst 6 months old and want to be around for them when they get older.

    thanks jessica

  • thanks wendy..I am scheduled for first week in aug and have heard all the failures but it's great to hear it like it is..continued success to you..

  • Yggdhdhghg

  • Ha ha

  • Thank you.

  • Thanks for your video. I'm in Australia and just had a band placed 4 days ago. I've already experienced some bad and ugly moments filled with regret and fear but the good is making it soooo worth it! In 4days of lying on the couch and in bed I have already lost 4.5kg. That's 9.9pounds. I'm feeling hungry though which everyone says they didn't in the first week. I start light exercise tomorrow so am looking forward to the numbers going down!!! Thanks for sharing your experience!

    xx

  • all of this makes sense! great vid!

  • I just got my second fill today and I"m wondering...how do you know when you're tight during certain times of the day??

  • This was very helpful..particularly giving us pre-op people an insight into PB, sliming, etc.. Also, you're really giving me inspiration to make a committment to stick to the gym also!

  • thanks for sharing the bad and ugly with the lapband!

  • The good. I've lost 100 lbs with the band and never got these results without this tool. The bad: my problems with the band usually have nothing to do with not following the rules. My stomach swells or esophagus tightens due to mornings, stress, PMS or sickness. Suddenly I can't eat. If this continues at my next fill appt. I get an an unfill. If it subsides, yeah! The ugly: when I could not keep down liquids with the flu and lost 8 lbs in a week I made an immediate appt. to have an unfill.

  • You keep it so real wendy!!!!!!

  • whAt a great video!

  • Another great video!!Thanks for putting it all out there, the good, the bad and the ugly.

  • You are right on the money!!! Following the rules is essential! Great video. :-)

  • Another great video by Ms Wendy. I can relate to so much your saying here. Where can I begin w/ making bad food choices and throwing it back up. Its like we already know its not going to go down but we still do it. I hate it!

  • OMG I have an ugly story from yesterday - I was at the mall at lunch and was so hungry, typically i've been tight at lunch lately and doing soups and things but I was determined I was going to eat chicken balls in the food court. I KNEW in my heart I wouldn't be able to eat it but I wanted it so bad. So I ate 1 chicken ball and then ran to the bathroom to throw up. How stupid is that.

  • this was a great vid wendy! ... =D

  • I have the flu right now and had to go to the ER yesterday and it seems that being sick with the band makes the sickness much more bad because I try to still stick to my rules. You are such an inspiration to me and many others.

  • love it, for people looking into this its good to see the whole pic not just the nice good stuff :) thanks love your vids!

  • Very well stated!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

  • love your video!!

  • OMG!!!!Wendy, I have been struggling these past two days. I have not made good food choices but will not beat myself up. I will wake up tomorrow and go for a run. Thanks for the video!

  • I have a question. what do you do when you PB? Is it like vomiting. my brother just had surgery and he says that sometimes when he burps it foamy. in your video you said you had to go to the rest room after you tried eating was that PBing or throwing up. the lap band is so different then gastric bypass. so someitimes its hard to know what the other feels. thanks wendy, your so sweet :)

  • Thank you well said

  • Good Bad! lol

  • Well Wendy, it seems like we're both not having good days lately; on my part, I've been dumping almost every night since last Tuesday! I haven't been measuring my food and BOY did I pay for it!!! Back to the basics for the new year!!! Take care!

  • The gym in January is horrible. All the "lose weight" NY resolutions. By February half of those folks will be gone, but March 75%. So, just wait for the treadmills. Thanks for the bad and the ugly. Good job losing the pound!

  • Such a good video, the stuck feeling before a pb is the worse...it feels like you can't breathe.

  • Hey Wendy. Awsome video. just wondering i you can do a video about what types od alcoholic drinks are ok to drink. I like to go out drinkinging every now and then with friends.

  • Loved, loved, loved this!! It is soo clear that my decision to have Lapband surgery is not an easy one..I've seen/heard the Good, Bad and the Ugly on Youtube and other websites and at least because people have been honest about what they are going thru, I feel like I'm making an educated decision. I THINK I know what I'm getting into. Are there days when you feel weak or lightheaded because you can't get food down, or do you just choose protein shakes to keep you going?

  • Sounds like you are trying to socialize and enjoy the end of the year....me too.

I happen to have some leftover Chinese food in the fridge.

I am bored with it but still have a compelsion Sp? /need to eat it...what's that all about...?

Once that is gone...tummy or trash....it will be gone....have cleaned out all compiled junk food to start a new year....

It will always be a struggle.....but thank god for the lapband....to get us back on track.

    Happy 2010....you go Wendy!

  • Like always a great VIDEO...love it...love ya...love rosemary
