When I render the video the etxt isn't all the way at the bottom. It's kind of in between the center of the clip and the bottom. How do I fix this?

@PuRpLeDiNoSaUr0912 when you're in the position settings i'm guessing you just hit *bottom center*, you can adjust it more by dragging the text on the little diagram box you see when you're editing the position of the text

what version of sony vegas are you using? i have pro 9 and when i do what you say only the video shows up not the subtitles and video. it says that i created the text media, it's on the timeline above the appropriate video, but it doesn't show up on the actual video. anyway if you've got any advice i'd love to hear it. thanx.

@MissIzzyDepp drag a transition from the transition tab onto either end, or you can go to the end and when the cursor turns to a curved end you can drag it into a fade

@TopDeeJust change the font size (you may have to select the text), for the background make the bg slider change to checkerboard pattern

I have a video that already has subtitles on it but I'm looking to add a box of black shade around the subtitles so that it stands out from the background. How can I add that? Or do I have to re-do the subtitles from scratch?

@BlckHrt141 go into the text and click the tab that shows the background color, then there should be a slider, move the slider in the little checkerboard pattern and then it'll be transparent

Can I lput like a backgroud to the subtitle, you know like the way there's a black rectangle in the bottom, in which all the subtitle is in. I'm looking for any soft ware that can do that, please help.

@207112351 yes you can, theres a couple different ways to do it. The easiest and most effective way is press the Track Motion button on the video track and change the video size (move the mouse over one of the end points and you should be able to click and drag to make it smaller). Then just make the text size and position in a way so that it's on the black part of the video.

if you go into the properties tab of the text you'll see the text color and the background color. The background color needs to be set to transparent so the vid can be seen

@osha001 in the properties tab of the text window there's a section labeled background color. In that box there's a little checker board box pattern with black towards the top and white towards the bottom. Move the little level all the way down to the white and that will make the background transparent.

Hey kid, a couple of things. One, This video had the info I was looking for, so thanks for that. Good job at getting the key points out there. Second, make a plan before you do your tutorial; at least bullet points. That will help you keep up a good pace without saying "er.." and "amm.." while you think.
