"Social media" are an important part of the future, that's obvious. The question is how much will the open information community be prepared when the "inflection point" occurs, i.e. when for-profit organizations enter the area of social media.
Agreed. The biggest challenge they didn't mention in the video, though, is: how do we provide access to this burgeoning media/community to those millions in the world without the financial and technological means? I hope that internet access does not become the line at which future class distinctions are drawn.
