I remember watching this series as a kid, no idea Tom Hanks would be so big. He seems like a very loyal friend, I like how Scolari worked with him in "That thing you do", there is a scene where you can see him in a screen and Mr. White (Hanks) beside, who turns and watches the screen, as if he was saying "look, we are together again, working after many years". Holland Taylor, what a funny woman.
I knew Holland back in the late '70s in New York. We were in a group together run by Lila Rosenblum. She was a struggling actress and one of the most intelligent, warm hearted people I have ever known. I have followed her wonderful career and can tell you that no one deserves success more than Holland. She is a very special lady.
I remember that I used to drive her uptown after the group and we'd chat in my car. She was a no nonsense person, but very warm and witty. When I've seen her on talk shows over the years, she seems to be the same person I knew all those years ago. When I knew her, she was broke. Now, I'm sure she's a wealthy woman, and deserves to be. No one worked harder and sacrificed more to "make it" than Holland.
