My Take On Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic 06 has awful controls and is very unpolished in many places, but there's still fun to be had in it.

unleashed is good... you should play it if you haven't .... its fairly different from the other games... so it really just depends on the person playing it...

i never considered the knuckles in sonic 2 or sonic 3 and knuckles to be separate games. i always considered them to be more like expansion packs.

and i like the 3d games. and by that i mean, i like playing ALL of the 3d games. i don't like them as much as the 2d, but i've never NOT had fun playing the 3d games.

sonic 2 is my favorite, though only very VERY slightly more than sonic 3 and knuckles.

no no no, KIS2 and S3&K are separate games, they are not just "add-ons"

Sonic the hedgehog 3 = 1 game

Sonic & Knuckles = 1 game

Snoc 3 & Knuckles = 1 game

in terms of size,

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 = 1

Sonic & Knuckles = 1

Sonic 3 & Knuckles = 3

but they are exactly like expansion packs. they're the same games with some extra stuff added in.

i mean, you could play sonic 3 and then play sonic and knuckles and you would get MOSTLY the same experience as if you had palyed sonic 3 and knuckles.

Some people say: S3 = 1 game S&K = 1 game S3&K = 2 games and some other people say: S3 = 1/2 a game S&K = 1/2 a game S3&K = 1 game but I say: S3 = 1 game S&K = 1 game S3&K = 1 game but it just doesnt feel right playing S3 or S&K most the time cause S3&K is available

yeah, i'll definitely agree that it's kind of dumb to play S3 or S&K separately. there's really no point when you could just play S3&K.

well there are a few minor reasons to play them alone...

in S&K you start on Mushroom Hill

and in S3&K you dont fight the final boss of S3 when playing as Sonic or Tails... but I like the way they did that (Even though I think the S3 final boss is the best final boss for a sonic game) yeah that might sound strange

Arrrrrgh nostalgia overflow! I have to get one of those mega collections!. I always wanted to try sonic CD and S3&K, but as of now SA holds the title as my favorite. =)

i lost touch with sonic after the genesis games and sega cd, my personal favorite is sonic and knuckles. The games on the game gear where great as well!

honestly, i enjoyed it as the single game more, plus in sonic 3 i ALWAYS had such a hard time with that friggin carnival level, thats one of the reasons i dont like to attach them that much, lol

but either way they are very fun, the only reason they added the lock on option was because the developers where having a hard time getting sonic 3 out on time so they basicaly split the game right down the middle, because all the levels in S&K where suppose to be part of sonic 3 =) i think thats why so many people have a hard time chosing between the 2 IMO

Carnival Night just had that platform where you have to press up and down, its not hard it just takes some figuring out... sonic 3 is my least favourite of the first bunch in the main series, but S3&K I like better than the final fantasy games

yeah its my least favorite as well, lol but I Personaly couldnt really chose which series i like more considering how COMPLETLY different they are from one another, but i will say that even today i can pick up a sonic game and start playing without hesitation, The earlier FF however is a different story lol,Eventhough THEY KICK ASS!!

I would say FF games are overall better but S3&K is the exception
