Hey Laura girl!! Do you buy your gum paste in bulk or you make your own? Have a good one chica!! Can't wait to see your next creation!! When will that be? Andale!! WE WANT CAKE!!! {singing.....queremos pastel!! queremos pastel!!! Aunque sea un pedasito!!! Queremos pastel!!! hahahaha}
Hi! I make my own gumpaste mixing tylose powder with Wilton fondant. I'll be making videos today! Yay! Sorry I haven't answered your e-mail yet here on YouTube but I promise to get to it on Sunday girl! :) Been soooo busy with work! LOL! :)
They don't go into the top cake at all. They are cut down to the size of the tier they are in to hold up the tier on top. Each tier should have a cakeboard underneath. If it doesn't the whole cake will collapse. :)
Hi! Sorry, I've never used luster spray but I've seen cake artists on TV shows use it and it looks like it works great! If you try it, let me know how it works for you! :0)
Love your work!!! I was wondering if you could suggest good, affordable color dye other than wilton? I just feel it gets expensive, and if I wanted to make black or red, I nearly use the entire container. I was just wondering if you could recommend something better. :)
Hi and thank you! There are SEVERAL types of dyes out there for fondant. Wilton is really one of the LEAST expensive... As far as the black & red, I usually buy those colors pre-colored because it's very difficult to achieve those colors with gel food coloring. :0)
I'm your fan from Italy....yes Europe...I love the ideas you come up with..and you've got your husband involved with this new hobby...I've been watching your videos for about a year now and you've almost got me thinking of making my grandson's 1st birthday cake...can you suggest something simple and colourfull....my cakes always come out beautifull but have a bit of difficulty in decorating them...waiting for any suggestions
Thank you Judy! That means SO MUCH! I'm so glad you like my ideas. :) I'm proud of you for having the courage to make your grandson's cake! Please believe me when I tell you that it's not AS HARD as it looks! You CAN do it! All you need is time, patience, and a bit of imagination. My #1 suggestion is to start on your decorations at least a couple of weeks before you make the cake, that way you have TIME to do them right, be creative, and make LOTS of them! :0) Send me a pic! :0)
Best fantasy flower tutorial by far! You answered so many of my questions. Thank you!!
