finally, i have been waiting for this to happen for ages! does this mean that telltale have bought the rights from lucasarts? Also im wondering which game this will continue from.
Monkey Island 3 and 4 is still playable by todays standards. 1 and 2 have a bit too crappy looks, but they are also remaking Monkey Island 1 in HD.
What I though was missing in this interview was a question about the controls. Hopefully it will be like Wallace and Gromit, (dpad or mouse), but that you also can left click to walk to spot, which Wallace 1 missed. The dpad shoulder button cycle through points of int really made it playable with a dpad doh.
BTW, they are re-releasing MI 1 and 2 so people can get caught up on the franchise. You can also start at Curse of Monkey Island; you won't get some of the jokes and references but it'll get you up to speed on most of the story.
Heh heh. I remember when I got the first 3 games as a teenager, I was guilty of using walkthroughs a lot. But it's been years since then, and so now I can enjoy them properly as many times as I wish.
Speaking of which, I just finished playing MI1 last night, now I'm gonna move onto MI2 =D
Hey man, I'm guilty of that too, but I would only use it as a last resort after talking to everybody in one location and trying to interact with every single thing in the environment for an hour. I damn near impossible to get through most of the MI games without some help here and there. Still, they are a ton of fun.
Heh. yeah. I had gotten the walkthroughs from a CD that came with a magazine. When I actually bought the games, I was visiting my cousins who live many miles away so I didn't have access to the disc. I managed to get the ship and crew by then =)

If we can get a Day of the Tentacle season, then Telltale Games can change their name to Aesir. (If you don't get it, read up on mythology.)

I have played the first 2 about 500 times by now and I am still laughing my ass off. Can anyone say 3 headed monkey?

Telltale did a pretty awesome job with Strong Bad, IMO, so this should be pretty badass. Great interview!

Wish they made something new to the series, but I really hope this will be good ofc, love the series.
Most people will say prolly that the 2nd or 1st is the best, but I kinda liked the 3rd one most. 4th one was a letdown. :(

Man that's just awesome! I'm so looking forward to this, it also gives me a good reason to replay the first games :)

hmmmm sucks for those of us who weregoing to play on wiiware. $15 more than PC. I must say that this (while it looks fun) is not a game I will get.

And of course, nowadays, walkthroughs serve as a last resort (well, except maybe the old Sierra games I have yet to play, heh heh)
