actaully the 3.4 is 160hp i have a 3.8 with around 230hp 200>stock, and the only thing thats ugly is the front nose peice but i just happen to be in the auto body trade so i can swap it out for somthing nice when i re-paint it this summer, and who are you to call it a p.o.s its got 155,000 miles and has NO leaks runs perfect and still does 0-60 in a little over 6 and a half secs, witch is pretty dam good for a 3400 lbs car, besides what do you ride a bike?

ok for the record probe gts are alright cars for DDs. my cousin used to have one and I put about 8 or 9 cars on him in my 89 5.0 5 speed with flows and 3.73s so no it's not close. to the guy that says his parents grand am outran a 5.0....sorry bud you wouldn't stand a chance in hell against the 3 i have owned in a stock v6 grand am. and to the guy in the 99 ta who's hatin on 5.0s...no they're not as fast as ls1 stock for stock...but i get v8 and v6 firebirds mistaken all the time...

i dont know where you get your information from, but i can tell its not experience. i have a klze probe and i walk all over 5.0 foxbody stangs on launching. they always catch me and pass me around 80, but as far as launching goes my klze kills the 5.0(maybe bad gearing on the stang, my probe has a 4:39 final drive), and i know you think im some ricer boy, but my daily driver is an lt1 roadmaster AND IT WALKS 5.0 stangs all day long especially automatics, which this car clearly is....

a 90 mustang gt weighs 3327, a 93 probe gt weighs 2894 and in the world of hp/weigh ratio that is a shit ton more. im not 19 i am 23 and my lt1 roadmaster came stock with 260 hp and 330 ft/pounds of tourque and ran 0-60 in 6.7 seconds WITH the 2:54 ring and pinion, all that is done to it now is a 410 posi , exhaust and pcm recalibrationand yea IT WALKS ON 5.0 stangs, even stock lt1 z28s have a hard time with it. i know my cars and im not saying you dont, but I DO know my shit

negative,a probe with a klze has 200 hp,and 5.0 has 225,with a few little mods the probe will be at 220 -230 range.throw in the weigth of that shit v8 vs that ligth v6 plus the whole car overall is ligthter than the mustang,my probe eats mustang for breakfast with only exhaust and intake.

GM's had 5.7 350's for quite a while, but they dont brag about it. Your always better off with an f-body, then no one questions whats under the hood

I have a 4.6 (smaller then a 5.0 but much more power) and I ask the same question.... why do people make a big deal out of the 5.0? Don't get me wrong, mixing chevy's LS1 with the 4.6 is NO match the LS1 is crazy fast.

I did my research. You are wrong. Some of the 1g dsm's came equipped with non-tubo 4g63's. Do a simple google search for non-turbo 4g63....you are the one who needs to do some research. The 420a only came in the 2g's. So what was the non turbo motor in the 1g's? hmmm. It was either a non-turbo 4g63 or the 1.8l. That is why some people specify 4g63t when talking about the engine so you know it's the turbo model they are referring to. You as a dsmer should know that. Now you do.

Yea um i got a v6 stang and the only reason i got it is because its different to see one fast. Making a v8 fast is simple but makin a v6 fast is more challengin and u get more respect when u do it. and gas millages shit. I kissed that bye bye when i started moddin it. the 91 pgt makes 145 whp and about 180 bhp, and 190 ft/lbs torque. Ford gave the lower hp number so it wouldn't hurt mustang sales. A lightly modded 91 probe will run low 14's just by cranking the boost from stock 6psi to 15.
