That's the legendary Bob Anderson holding Darth Vader's lightsaber. He was sixty and short, but lookit how graceful he is. Star Wars, the Princess Bride, Pirates of the Carribean, Lord of the Rings... he died yesterday, aged 89.
I for one would welcome a remake of this fight. The fighting style back in the day was with a lot of passion and desperation, while now a days, it's a little more fast action kung-fu based, which I like - if done well. Can you imagine a samurai/wu-shu light saber style Darth Vader??? I sure can!!
@MetalShin0bi I couldn't disagree more. The style of fight scenes now days is much more CGI-based, and while it is flashy, it just pushes realism so far that I can't belive it even in the films realm. And when the fight isn't beliveable, there really isn't any reason to care about how it ends.
@kilobitti I would hope these Jedi fight with a lot of intensity. Plus, it makes for good action. The Final battle between Anakin vs Obi Wan... That was sick. Great set pieces, too. I find your statement verging on generality though, because I agree. Just not with JEDI fights. Those are supposed to kick some serious butt.
The passion, the intensity, the verve, the hate and that unknown quality in Luke's eyes making his decision of where to place his lightsabre, how to attack and finally in choosing self destruction over emulation of his father. That is a star wars battle. No amount of CGI can make up for the pain a human can feel when it faces its own annihalation.
personally this fight was better than Jedi's, mostly because we knew how Jedi's would play out. In this one, Luke is good and Vader is bad, but its not until the end we find out that they are father and son. Jedi was like, yeah we know the family Luke won't kill his dad, just cripple him some how.
Rest in peace, Bob Anderson, swordmaster and Darth Vader's lightsaber...

This fight alone is more than all the Lightsaber fights in Episode 1 & 2 were together. There is so much more going on between the characters.

It's not even, "Luke, I am your father" it's "no, I am your father". What's with everyone saying, "Luke, I am your father?"

What a very uber intro of Darth Vader... "The force is with you, young Skywalker... But you are not a Jedi yet!"
