I really don't understand how this is "bad acting." It feels a lot more real and less forced than most other horror movies. He sounds frustrated, and people tend to sound very "silly" when they are frustrated. (Trust me, record audio next time you get in an argument or start yelling, and you will sound just as silly as this does.) This is actually pretty decent acting.

I don't understand your problem with this scene. None of us know Darius and understand the reference. Micah's frustration comes across pretty well. He's no Al Pacino, but his acting is pretty damn good. This is just the opinion of an undergraduate drama student.
You realize this film was made on a low budget, obviously. These arent professional actors. They didnt know the film would get so big, or be made into a franchise. So laughing at this movie because its fake and has bad acting makes me want to laugh at you, it wasnt made with a lot of money, obviously.

This footage is based on real events, the writer saw actuall footage from this could and wrote and edited the story around. It isn't all true but about 45% is real. I thought it was extremely scary but I believe in these kids of things.

Actually, Paranormal Activity 2 is BEFORE paranormal activity 1. At the end of 2, Kristie says goodbye to Katie for the last time. Then the camera flips to Paranormal Activity 1, where Katie goes home and Micah has the camera. I believe Hunter (the baby) and the lady who was their home care taker was missing as well. But I know the daughter Ali survives, and Kristie and Daniel die.

i can see where your coming from...but stop and think for a sec. assume all the video seen here actually happened (i realize it didnt) your weegee (spelling alert) board lit on fire and gave you the name of someone else who was haunted then...DIED! your girlfriend just got dragged down the fucking hall in the middle of the night and bitten and whatever the fuck is doing all this cant be seen, clearly isnt human (three toed claws) and can be everywhere at once (it closed the door on Micah)

i'm so fuckin sick of people saying "it's so fake!" "terrible acting!" "shit movie."
look at the bleir witch project you can so tell that it's acted. this is the same situation. it's hard to act like you would in that situation, because..pfft..how the hell WOULD you react? black figures at the end of your bed, hearing a demon roar downstairs in the middle of the night, footprints on the flour with only three toes..? don't tell them they're bad at acting.
YOU come up with a plot this good.

Another stupid proof that this isn't real, at the very end of the credits, there's some words and there it says "The events related in this movie are ficticional. Any connection with real life is coincidence" or sumthing like that.

The movie SUCKED!!!It was as bad as the Blair Witch, without the crappy moving camera that made you motion sick.AND BOTH GOT TO MADE A PART TWO!?!! Hitchcock is spinning in his grave!!!At least Blair Witch two was better then one, and had good music!Too bad "THE DEMON" didn't get the director of this movie!

@meltedtoons um dude the sequel is actually the prequel. if u saw the first one, thn u wud remember the photo tht was taken of tht girl, which was burnd at the corners (i forgot who was in the photo). in paranormal activity 2, u see the exact same photo, in perfect condition. @rockybalboa459 also, the near the ending of paranormal activity 2, theres a scene which is exactly the same as the beginning scene of paranormal activity 2, wen the mother's sister and boyfriend get their new house. she later gets possessed(in the "sequel") and kills the father and mother. she carries the baby away.

If this is real footage then howcome there are three endings and also the authorities wouldnt let someone being killed be shown in a film. and there arent such things as 'supernatural beings'.
