  • orrendo...che livello basso

  • Felicitaciones John, es una obra bellísima.

La Sinfonía Fantástica siempre ha sido el trabajo con el que el nombre de Berlioz se asocia más estrechamente. The composition of this revolutionary masterpiece marked a breakthrough in the composer's career, at once the culmination of his years of apprenticeship, and the starting point of his mature work as a symphonic composer. La composición de esta obra revolucionaria marcó un hito en la carrera del compositor.

  • This guy is not to be missed if you are lucky enough to go to his concerts......

  • I agree!! I've seen him conducting two different concerts recently and I'm completely in love with his art :-)

  • Ummm,

    don't you mean, SymphonIE Fantastique??

not Symphony Fantastique; you're mixing languages.

  • No audience and no musicians? Is this air guitar for the classical music fan? :-)

  • thank you for your message,I've seen..

    I know Sinfonietta Cracovia..

  • +100 where are da musicians? Cmon!

  • I would like to see also some musician of the orchestra!Who made this video?Thousands pities that I couldn't see any!

  • where is the orchestra? in the CD-player?

  • I really enjoy this guy's style. He's not afraid to express himself which I feel plenty of conductors are.

  • this some gay shit

  • Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!

  • I'm curious as to how you happened to come across a video of the Symphonie Fantastique?

  • wow - what a fantastic young conductor - when can we see him in the US?

  • I can't help feeling that it's BRAVE to be so openly breathing, and gesturing - and I love him for it. never mind the intentions or the context... he alread IS an outstanding conductor and a man of greatness.

  • Yeah, definitely conducting a CD here. There's no way a mic would pick up his breathing like that with a full orchestra around him. The breathing sounds like he's in a basement somewhere. Fake. And where's the audience? You would be able to see something.. anything.

  • You didnt see the full clip. There is an audience (an old lady) in this video and on the ARTE broadcast, all other movements are shown. There are musicians and public and a kind of hallucinatory imagery in the final movement. According to ARTE it says there were multiple hidden mics and cameras throughout the orchestra to capture the sound from inside. So it would pick up his breathing and everyone else, which was the idea. Just so you know the facts.

  • This guy also conducts "Orchestra X"... perhaps the "X" stands for EXHIBITIONIST. Definitely the greatest conductor that ever came out of Texas. Never trust a conductor whose hair doesn't move.

  • I never saw him when he was in Texas...but wish I had...I like his conducting, very clear and expressive.

He reminds me of another fine conductor from Texas, Jeffrey Grogan, currently an asst. for the New Jersey Symphony...hehe, similar hair... ;)

There have been several good orchestral conductors out of TX...another is Carl St. Clair (MD of Pacific Symphony in CA.)

  • He has the Orchestre de Paris in front of himself and choir, a lot of good musicians.... playing with him should be a truly pleasure... I was listenig in that concert hall

He is going to his upper....Awesome...Wonderful!

    Please John COME BACK!

  • I am coming from Salle Pleyel Paris where Mastro John Axelrod was rehearsaling Bernstein's Kaddish... So difficult to conduct, he his going up to be the next Bernstein or Karajan....Wonderful!!!!!!!

  • Nous sommes d'accord! Qu'il revienne avec une video live pour youtube!!!!!

  • Why have they made his breathing audible? It's a tad on the freaky side like this...:P

  • The rest of the film has breathing from all the musicians too, later in the video. Supposed to create the experience from within the orchestra, the breath used to create sound. The Sinfonietta sounds great. Would love to hear/see the rest.

  • Its from a broadcast on ARTE. So reads the first image. it showed the full symphony, but only the conductor till middle of 1st movement. Then the orchestra and conductor become a kind of visual hallucination. Is it available on DVD?

  • is he conducting on a cd?

  • He sure looks like it; i mean he is conducting a Cd. I am sure there is a real orchestra there but he is just putting on a show.
