When it came out, I was 7 or so, and i was astounded by the music . In Israel this song wasn't popular and it asn't played ever since on the radio. I remember that the next time I heard it I was 22... I got "The Visitors" as a scratched vinyl record, put the headphones on... and I was in heaven... those goosebumps...

I think "The Visitors" hangs together well as a whole album, but it didn't have any real killer singles, with the possible exception of "One of Us", which was released as the first single from the album. ABBA were right not to record another album after it because some of the old magic had gone.

The magic was not gone but things were changing. The couples were divorced and so there were emotional strains. The guys wanted to go into the musical business rather than compose singles. On this album. "Two for the Price of One" is a metaphoric tale about getting a mother-in-law included with a bride-to-be. And "Slipping through my Fingers" is about parents who are about to experience the Empty Nest syndrome. All in all, ABBA still epitomized the "human spirit" with these songs.
