Open included encoder program. Settings are as follows.

Click Add.. Res=220x176, Quality=High, Aspect R.=Full Scope=Unchecked

Save (for each vid) then convert now..

Any other settings do not work! I don't know why they have so many other options when the settings above are the only ones that work. Other then that, the player works GREAT with the videos created with these settings. Nice video when you finally figure it out..

When you put albums or folders on they do not go in alphabetical order :(. Done my head in. Slowly going off archos already there support is terrible. Nothing goes is alphabetical order? WTF>?

I have just ordered a white one off Amazon. I'm really excited about the Archos company I know they have been around a little while but only now they are coming in to their own. I wanted a decent alternative to apple and I think I have found them.

The Player is really good I have to say, audio quality is great. Very fast data transfer. The buttons feel a bit hollow, but overall nice work. I'll try and make a review. Still, it does have 8GB and you can plug in some more, mine is currently running on 10Gb and so fas so good. By the way, I've had it for a short time now and I like it, this is my first MP3 player and except for the buttong, great peace ot tech.

I was considering this mp3-player (16GB for €60) but especially the interface/menu looks absolutely disgusting, in my opinion.

according to Archos it atkes up to 12 hours when playing audio and up to 4 hours when playing videos, but I read much shorter time (4-5 hours for audio) in forums.

There is no bookmark option, neither does the player resume at last position in a track. A major problem when listening to audio books. I would advise against buying this player.

My Archos 2 resumes at last song played when turning it on and clicking play in Music mode. Though they should improve the bookmark feature. Hopefully they will release a firmware update for it. Reason some things might work on some units and not on others, is that if you check, people are having different versions of the firmware installed on their Archos 2 depending on when they bought it and when.

I was searchng for comments, ratings or reviews on this player for days! is it true that is has a very low maximum loudnes and does not show the track currently playing but the file name instead? Am I able to save playlists oder just play the complete music on the player without telling the player every time what i'd like to hear next?!

dude please answer me quickly, because i am about buying this device, so i came to youtube to see some vidio and u had with the archos, tell me something, when you are listening to music, and you go to the menu, to the files t choos another music, does the music that is playing stops?

because there are mp3 that do that, and can u tell me wht ate the negative aspects of this mp3? thanks

mine got messed up in a week :( i connected it to a computer and it just wouldnt turn on after that.... i tried turnin it on and off... i left it connected to computer and it wont even show that it is connected... wen i press the play button a white flash appears and goes... plz help. if u can. any suggestions?
