I love the Barrett Sisters. They have always been an inspiration in my life and in my family's life. My mother said to me it was very important that I know all about the Barrett Sisters. Mother Delois will be 85 on March 12. If you Chicagoans start calling and writing this could happen. One of my most treasured memories was being a dean at Cornell University and being one of the founders and directors of the Festival of Black Gospel Music. During my tenure we had Delores Barrett Campbell and the Barett Sisters in concert. I love them and I hope that if President Obama has them at the White House he will also include the three survivors from the Tulsa 1921 Race Riots. Hurry Up President, please hurry up.
