no. Morgana is King Uther's ward. And a ward is the name for an adopted orphan. Morgana came from a noble household and her birth father was personal friends with Uther. When her whole family perished Uther took her in. Now everyone thinks Morgana and Arthur should marry.

I think it's kind of a gross thought, from what i understand, they "grew up" together. I think they were both older children when Morgana moved into the castle, but it's still like wedding your brother! DX

@epirate21 it's a giffen, not a hypogryph. hypogryphs are eagles and horses and griffens are eagles and lions. dragons are cross cultural, every culture has a dragon, and is seen throught the ages. they tie directly into the arthurian legend. But griffens are ancient greek/roman mythological creatures, they are not seen in stories like the knights of the round table. back in that time they would have been considered a myth.

There is hardly any chemistry between him and Gwen. They've spent ONE episode together, they kissed, and Arthur's STILL got eyes for Morgana when he's looking at her during the feast. Gwen shows So many times that she fancies Merlin, he just hasn't seen it yet.
