thanks for sharing queen, next time just use a zip lock bag and snip a corner off and do the same....great idea that I am gonna steal from you for some natural friends. lol
I have been lokng for a real simple way to make whip Shea butter Thnks do much for this video. Also I will b giving out some whip Shea butter go Christmas !!!
Hey! I am a new subscriber and I love all of your videos but this is by far my favorite! where did you get the chunky shea butter and the oils from? Great video! : D
Where do you store this at? in the refrigerator or is it just ok to store anywhere? Also how to do you apply this to your hair and when do yo u apply it?
you shld watch her vids on shea butter bc real shea is not tht bright yellow its more cream ivory or off white be careful you dont want to waste money on something marketed as shea when its rlly not if the butter is tht bright yellow its been stripped and dyed to remove all the healing properties rendering it virtually ineffective the yt user mentioned above is frm ghana and she has done here research she was saying how lots of ppl in the west have been fooled about shea
hi i rlly like your vid but i just wanted to let you know tht real shea butter isnt yellow its more of an off white color when they dye the shea butter tht brigfht yellow it means theyve stripped it of all its healing properties and its virtually ineffective be careful you dnt want to waste your money on somethig marketed as shea butter i learned this from watching a womans videos on shea butter she is from ghana i forgot her yt name but shes really good and has done her research
Thank you to everyone(Iv'e read all the messages) who sent well wishes to my family and I. I love you guys and I'm happy to be back and well again! Thanks for all your support and stay tuned for many more videos and changes to my channel which are coming soon. Also, it's almost time for me to let you guys in on what I've been working on. :-D I'm excited!!!
Hey ladies, I bought the jars from Michael's craft store. They were very resonably priced (under $2 a piece I believe) and the ribbon was on SALE at the time. Micheal's is one of my FAV craft stores. Whenever I go in I'm inspired to get some projects started. I'm excited just thinking about it. :-) Thanks for watching.
so cute! i love the fact that its so simple but really cute! and giving them this gift teaches young kids to love and take care of their hair. So glad to see you back and I hope that this is just one of many more of your videos!
Hey hun, I see a few viewers had the same concern.
I did think of that but since each container was so small I figured that my gift recipients would use the whip quickly. AND THEY DID...lol. :-D They're asking for another batch already!!!!.
Also, I made sure to not add any water or products that were water based that could possibly mold the mix. Next time though for safe measures I will use a preservative, both of those oils sound great!. Thanks hun.
welcome back meechy! My prayers are with you and ur family...but I'm glad to see you are in well enough spirits to make a video! I love the gifting idea. You did a really nice job packaging them. Also, if you can't find the baking set to fill the jars, you can scoop the whip into a plastic bag and cut a small hole into it. it will squeeze out similarily.
I'm so glad you are back!! YAY! I'm sorry to hear about your loss though.
I was so excited this morning when you posted this video that I came home from work and made my own. So instead of a video response, I did a blog response..lol. I had such a fun time doing this.
Love the gift wrapping options. I uploaded a similar vid last week and not only did I forget to add my coconut oil to my shea mixture, but mixer clonked out on me. I'm still a novice. But thanks for showing everyone how it's done. Very creative and LOVE your vids! I'm from the Chi as well! ;o)

very nice ideas for presenting the shea butter mix in. I especially liked the jars and color scheme ♥ thanks for sharing...sorry for your families loss BTW oh and I hope you feel better....been sick myself lately.
FYI, I heard if you melt your products in the microwave, it takes away some of the nutrients. I boil some water and put it in a big bowl. I let the shea butter in its container sit in the hot water until it softens up they way I want it.
Awesome idea. My prayers are with u and ur family. Glad ur better. This makes me want to do a giveaway! Where did u get ur Shea butter?thanks and welcone back.
Watching this made me want to go to my craft room and get busy. Your mix really looks enticing, I will have to try it. Thanks for sharing curlfriend! :)
Very sorry to hear about your grandmother. I lost mine a few years ago and it just sucks...only way I can think to describe it. Great video! I love the mix and the jar presentation! Beautiful!
Sorry that you were not well, and heard about grandma from Vaughny, again i'm really sorry for your loss, I know how granny's are the matriarchs of the family, when they are gone no one can replace them. This was a great video though, loaded with tonnes of ideas, Thanx so much for this!! BTW get well soon!!
I make a similar mix I never thought to fill the bottles like that. It looks so much easier. Filling it with a spoon makes it messy (for me) and I'm cleaning the bottles getting oil everywhere. Thanks for this!!!
I enjoyed this vid. Excellent presentation and tut. Looks like a lot of fun and makes the perfect gift. Lord, knows I need some of that shea better whip. Peace and many blessings to you sweetie. Thanks 4 sharing. Zheahra
It's cheaper to use a thin sandwich bag, poke a hole in one of the corners and squeeze that into the jar. Plus you can throw that away (or maybe even recycle?) Also, I made a mix in a plastic bowl and I nearly died trying to clean it since shea butter is so thick and sticky. If possible, I prefer to use a glass mixing bowl.
I use this as a pre-poo already...great to know that I'm doing this natural thing right. All I need to add is the Avacodo oil! Great vid and idea. thanks!

Cool vid...FYI: You can manually whip the shea butter mix w/o an electric mixer. It just takes longer. Hope that helps anyone!

Meechy where'd you get the jars with lids? What a wonderful gift idea.

keeping hair detangled and handling it CAREFULLY
also help to minimize or even eliminate fairy knots.
Notice how the women on here who have long, healthy
pretty hair...notice HOW they handle their hair....
VERY CAREFULLY,TAKE TIME TO DETANGLE
IF KNOT IS FOUND,IT'S UNDONE VERY SLOWLY
SO THE HAIR DOESN'T BREAK....:)

Great presentation for gift ideas! You might want to add a natural preservative in your next batches. Ex. Vitamin E oil or tea tree oil. :-)
