I'm sure they do ;) Thankfully, that was our calling in WWII as our volunteers patrolled the coast. Today, while we do not perform any combat missions like we used to, nowadays our "little Cessnas" are tasked with doing 90% of all inland search and rescue as tasked by the AFRCC amoungst various other homeland security and cadet programs duties. Who woulda thought a volunteer organization which does so much has the largest fleet of single engine aircraft in the country? WTG CAP!

There's a moment in the video when Palermo gets choked up. What viewers don't know is that NOLA CAP members lost their brethren during a training mission. We'd just learned of it the day we filmed this.
