  • Before Fela met Sandra Isadore, he wasn't political. Sandra exposed Fela to the Black Power movement. This helped him to discovered his musical and African identity. Afrobeat was born. Fela left Los Angeles and returned to Nigeria. He formed Egypt 80 and embarked on a musical, social, and political movement. Sandra Isadore sings lead vocals on one of Fela's finest recordings, "Upside Down". "Yeah, Yeah".
