I recommend you reading "Man are from Mars, Women are from Venus" by John Gray. It'll give you more of an insight in why Harrison acted like that.

From the pilot I always wanted Sam and Harrison to be together! They just fit so well and it would be such a beautiful story of two best friends being happy with eachother!

yep... not a movie, but an episode. More exactly this short clip is part of that episode. April Tuna's alleged death is what triggered the wave of events theat lead up to Harrison's decision to "be a man" and say "pick me!"(boy... that's a hard thing to ask a girl, if you're not o jock or a hunk)

In the end Harrison chose SAM over Brooke... since there was no season 3 we'll never find out what would happen to Brooke since she got run over in the last episode, storming out from the prom after Harrison chose Sam and Sam ran out after Brooke.

Yes, George seemed like a nice guy for Sam, but I empathyse more with Harrison for several reasons:

- he reminds me of ... me and Sam of an ex-friend of mine that would have chosen "George" had I had the courage to ask her THE question

- he wasn't the jock (athlete)

- he knew Sam better (friends do make better couples)

- he seems to be the outsider... the always friend and never boyfriend

- I was rooting for a Harrison - Sam couple from the first episode 've ever seen

Yeah, you've kinda got a point there. I checked it right now. Have't noticed that before. But still the emotions are different. In this one there's a bit of anger, and in the next episode (I know what you did last spring break) there's a bit of remorse and fear of having lost her forever by his own fault. Nevertheless she made the first mistake, but him being dishonest in the next episode did not help at all. The actors were great, the script was however a bit childish.

Harrison is really sweet. He has a really cute look when sam says 'then I have to choose George'. The same look on 'I know what you did last spring break!' when Sam said 'I never want to see you again' to Harrison.

This is so Sad, Sam shouldv'e atleast gave Harrison a chance, I mean Harrison went to far saying that he loved her, and since hes her bestfriend it shouldv'e been him, not Geroge.

Well... she did give him a chance later on in the series (a couple of episodes later)... Like I said before... after this episode their relationship is rushed, because the series was coming to an end. But all in all this scene, though sad, is memorable to me. I enjoy watching it every time. What he did took courage. I respect that :)

There was "chemestry" between Harrison and Sam long before this episode. However in this episode (season 2 ep 14) Harrison sends "the" email confessing his true feelings for her ("I love you Sam, I know this much is true")... he was in hospital some episodes before (hence the quote "when I almost died"), and he wrote her an email, but never sent it until this episode.

Why George? He was her current boyfriend (and loved him), and Harrison was "just" her best friend. People often do not see what lies before their eyes.

This scene reminds me of myself. Too bad the series ended quite soon after that... There just wasn't enough time to develop further their relationship :(
