Patterson makes a big claim when he says the scientific community is willfully ignorant of evidence. When scientists spend billions of dollars to build machines like the LHC or the Hubble Space Telescope to gather evidence, claiming that they are willfully ignorant strikes me as empty.
I'm not looking for confrontation but an answer. Lions are carnivorous predators that eat about 10-15 pounds of meat a day. When the pair of lions disembarked the Ark and set out for Africa, what meat did they eat? If they took down a zebra, wouldn't that kill cause the extinction of zebras? And lions were not the only predators. You can see where I'm going with this. This is a genuine inquiry into how the Flood survivors repopulated the biologically diverse word we see today. Anyone?
@Tapiola2007 The Bible says people and animals were free to eat plants early on and all were vegetarians at the beginning. This may have begun to change after man fell into sin. After the flood, God said to go ahead & eat meat in Gen.9. Certainly all the animals could still survive without meat & they may have for a while and slowly adapted, giving enough time for reproduction to take place. God also said to take 7 of every kind of clean animal on the ark. Could've been pregnant animals off ark.
I mean no disrespect with this question. I am just curious and yes, atheist. On the Flood how exactly could any sea creature survive the added pressure of an amount of water that could go over the highest mountain (Everest), around 5 and a half miles up along with cover the entire planet. No sea creature could survive such extreme pressures. Even if you say Everest rose up after the flood there are many mountains all over the world of such highs and you cant say all of them rose after the flood.
@7BroncoBoy Thank you for responding. Hmmm..., I find it hard to believe that all the hundreds mountains rose up to the incredible highs of today in the space of around 4000 years. The only course I could perhaps consider is that when the world was created it had its mountains. Why would a god create mountains after the flood anyways and why would a god make creatures perfectly adapted to mountain conditions on a world without mountains.
@MrSanjayV I'd say because animals had more genetic code back then, they could handle it. And since then they've lost most of it since then, they couldn't now.
@CasperTheMeanieGhost Btw, before you quote the "atheism is also defined as a disbelief in God", PLEASE look up what "disbelief" means!!! "Disbelief" means a POSITIVE rejection of something!!!
Grow some balls and admit you BELIEVE there is no God OR stop calling yourself an atheist.
i still consider it "pretty embarrassing" that you folks still into this evolutionism myth which has been debunked NUMEROUS times still cling to it, though there's nothing ever been found to prove it, other than forgeries & lies which have been proven wrong years ago, YET... they're still in the textbooks which are annually spoon-fed to you lot.
If there's never been anything found to prove evolution, then explain the scientific findings described in the video titled "Ken Miller on Human Evolution."
you know a lot of ppl may have got an EGO thing going on here - they'd want it so close tyo their OWN places so they could seem important.
Simple. The Flood WRECKED the world; Noah's family got off the Ark; and started renaming places, even those that reminded them of pre-Flood places. savvy?
@Eye2EyeIIIV Wow! You just conformed to every strawman I have ever heard of! Atheism is not the belief the the is no god, just the lack of belief that there is one. You can not disprove leprechauns, but does that mean they're real? Look up The Cosmos and the Bible. From: TehFunnehMann on Youtube, look for my name under the video.

@MrSanjayV Scientific creationists believe all the high mountains rose up near the end of the flood, but also the valleys or ocean floors sank down.
