Oh btw, you keep mentioning the mic. You could easily save up $50 each and get a usb mic. For example the Samson C01U USB Microphone. Getting a real condenser mic will cost you much more. (Not sure if you know but you'll have to buy an interface too that provides 48volt phantom power)

Anyway it should be good enough for stuff at home.

Coz they're crap!

Yes you pat more for a real condensor, and you pay for an interface, but the beauty of it is that u can choose any interface you want. Different interfaces (and their preamps) will sound better or worse with different mics. It's good to do some research to see what combination works for u.
