if only america has high speed trains. japan, china and many european countries already have it. the fastest train in the U.S is around 65 mph while other countries can go up to 170 mph.

we need rail system investment in america and not our monies go to iraq, israel, afghanistan, egypt, etc. train system is very economical compare to automobile and air travel.

the automotive industry did destroy the railway because back then we had plenty of oil. today is a different story. politicians do not have any wisdom at all. back in 1970s when we had oil crisis, we should of started railway already to remove ourselves of dependence on foreign oil. Brazil did.
