The movie Bagdad Cafe was filmed at this motel. Since those days the place slipped into disrepair. When I was there in 2008 the motel and Bagdad Cafe next to it were for sale. We had a burger lunch at Bagdad Cafe. The place looks tired. Hope it won't go the way of the motel. Many businesses on Route 66 don't get enough traffic to make good money and fix up a little.
