  • The "Celtic Cross" spread originated in the Golden Dawn hermetic society in London some time after 1888. It was likely designed by Mathers or Westcott, & was first published by Waite in the early 1900's as "another method of divination" in his "Key to the Tarot". The title of 'celtic cross' was not the original title, so I am afraid the spread is neither 'ancient", "celtic", nor really a "celtic cross"! I've found an early hand-written version (!), which I can date between 1888-1913.

  • Thank you for this clip! I'm gonna look into the allocations of hebrew letters to the Major Arcana some more, and if it makes sense, I won't hesitate to use this "trick" of yours to explore the Sephiroth.
