  • Simon was right she has no talent!

  • @J0N4TH4NK1 So says the man that listens to rap music - (also known as - Talking on top of a repeating drum loop) - At least the bird has a decent taste in music,if nothing else.

As for lack of talent - Awards voted for by the media/industry/listners & viewers show otherwise - if people dont like her fine...But she hardly talentless

  • How are any of these things going to help people be 'bulletproof'?

  • @KingDigital2011 It's "bullyproof" not "bulletproof"

Anyway I think the bit about listening to your favourite music is a good idea, but saying "talk to your friends" might be a real punch in the face to anyone watching this who DON'T have friends.Bullying and isolation/loneliness go hand in hand.

  • How are any of these things going to help people be 'bulletproof'

  • Wow, who wud of thought it woz that simple all along. Just put on sum red lipstick. LMAO

  • I'd like to hit her with a big turd.....

  • i have no friends and i cant afford lipsstick :(

  • I can't believe this actually aired, What about tips like "talk to someone who can help". Hell even trying to fight the bully yourself is better than these shitty tips.

  • yeah because kids who get bullied really have "GREAT friends" and ofcourse its always the pretty girls who get bullied and never the lonely, ugly ones. Fuck society.

  • Shees Some Pretty! :o

  • i love Fearne Cotton!

  • In my opinion she oozes coolness.

  • shutup

    shes a lil bit annoyin

tho d lipstick ting is true

  • I see the BBC removed comments from the Cheryl Cole video. BBC should apologise for putting a thug like her on an anti-bully video. Hopefully it may remove her from the ivory tower & clean out her sort from our screens. She showed no remorse for what she did to that cleaner, saying that she'd "do it all again". Another fine example of her temper is on Jonathon Ross she said that she put the ring back on reluctantly having buried it in ashley's head. Like speaks to like. They're both appalling.

  • the reason they took the comments off is because there was too many bullies commenting.

  • No, you are totally wrong. I know that oftentimes, there are two sides to every story, but in this case, the BBC were just plain wwrong. People pointed out that they didnt like it. That doesnt make them a bully. Just because someone tolerates something, doesnt mean that they have to like it. Calling someone who doesnt agree with you a bully, just because they dont agree with you undermines those who are truly bullied. The BBC fucked up and it is sachgate all over again.

  • Comment removed

  • OMG! SHE LOVES LED ZEPP AND THIN LIZZY!! she's become epic in my mind now! damn cool

  • "You think cos your carrying noones gonna test you? Nah. They still gonna test you. Cos if they know you carrying they gonna make you come out with it. And if you come out with it you better be ready to go all the way"

He's talking about guns but he could just as well be discussing knives.

  • It's been proven time and time again that if you carry a knife you are more likely to end up the victim of an assault. Pulling a knife on someone who is bullying will most likely cause the situation escalate, rthaer than help to resolve it. Sure, you might scare the bully off, but what happens when he comes back with a weapon of his own?

  • Everyone seems to have totally forgotton the reason behind these videos. More cyber bullying on here than you can shake a stick at.

  • Don't worry, we've all got lipstick handy :-)

  • im a male, surely lipstick would make the bullying worse? lol.

  • hahahahahahaha nah i'm sure bullies would love you for it.

  • i love her show - shes sooooo fit!!!!

  • i hate her show bring back whiley!!

  • hahaha oh fearne! so next time someone is about to beat you up in the playground, just ask them to stop for a second so you can apply your red lippy....then bam!....bullying problems?..wat bullying problems?

  • good advice i wont be trying the lipstick tho might cas bullying issues lol

  • This is terrible advice. From a woman who I'm reliably informed is a complete rude, arrogant douchebag.

  • britney spears??!!! LOL FAIL!

  • GoodbyTonight

How am I "over generalising" groups such as celebrities? Ferne Cotton is a trivial person. Think about it.

It's such a shame that most folks look to celebs for answers (by which I mean people who are famous for simply being famous not people who actually do anything). So if baronvonchunk really believes that these celebs are in it for a good cause then he/she can go to them for all the answers he wants & I bet he'll realise how self promoting they are. Consider it ironic justice.

  • I agree that it is all self-promoting, and also that some of the advice is pretty unhelpful, but at least the issue itself is getting some publicity too. It's got us all talking and debating, which can only be a good thing I guess.

But seriously, if my comment offends anyone then please don't get down about it!....just slap on that lipstick and shake your arse to some 70s rock!! Thanks Fearne! lol

  • Matthewkilb

I can see that your intentions are good but I dont buy that "any publicity is good publicity" ethos. In fact, I think that these videos mostly trivialise bullying. Remember how kids got beaten up for their anti-bully wristbands? I really dont think that the outcome can only be a good thing. BTW I have just stolen Ferne's lipstick and applied it too my anus (before replacing it in her make up bag). You know what? I feel better.

  • Thanks for the reply, and for not just screaming abuse, like every other person on here seems inclined to do.

I agree that the BBC could've done alot better than these clips. It's fairly patronising to the children this is meant to address to assume that they'd rather hear advice from celebrities than from, say, a expert in a related field. They could've at least screened what was going to be said.

Good work with the lipstick, although I dread to think what you've done with her mascara...

  • Matthewkilb

The mascara made a handy little toilet brush. I'm blowing Fearne a kiss right now (through my puckered bum).

Regarding the thing about hearing advice from celebs rather than experts (or at least experienced people) is poignant because the way many of these celebs got their jobs was based upon the way they look. The same way that they will put a hand picked beauty like cherly cole in a girl band and then throw the ugly ginger one in to market ruthlessly towards the "uglier" kids.

  • lol...well 'the ugly ginger one' happens to be the one I find most attractive, which I guess goes to show how subjective these things are. Also, I find the way she has treated by the press (for the crime of daring to be ginger and pale) a shocking indictment of the mean-spirited and bullying nature of the whole media-celebrity circus. If it's ok to mercilessly hound and abuse someone in print, based soley on their looks, what message does that then send to our children?

  • Well yes, she is treated as a ginger criminal. Oddly that's why she makes her money. That is a case of bad publicity being good publicity as the product can be promoted to a range of pigeon holed buyers.

Taking these same hand-plucked beauties (or "uglies" if you want) & plonking them into an anti bully video is a vacuous move & reveals a glimpse into the minds of those who market in this way. Basically they're a bunch of c**ts. Sorry I made a typo there. I was meant to say cunts. Toodle pip.

  • i'd tap that

  • does the red lipstick tip work for boys?

  • well i feel prettier than ive ever felt before :D

  • GoodbyTonight

So you're "reacting" by calling my opinions "biased". I'll tell you what my opinion is. It is from somebody who has been on the receiving end of racist bullying. I dealt with it successfully. I have no problem. In fact it would make a lot more sense if somebody, not famous, who has been through bullying gave advice.

My point to baronvonchunk was that worshipping people (especially those who do nothing, like celebs) is the shallow nature of society. Bullied kids need real guidance.

  • all these comments are actually retarded. carrying a knife, worst fucking advice you could ever give to someone. and all you commenting on how you'd like to 'fuck' her.. wow :/ get real.

  • If you carry a knife you are more likely to be the victim of knife crime. That's a statistical truth.

  • Only because most people who carry knifes live in impoverished areas. So the stat doesn't have much relevance to the general public.

If you live in suburbia it's perfectly save to carry machetes and such.

  • That's good to know. The undergrowth between here and the bus stop is getting pretty thick. I was going to hack my way through but the stats had me worried.

  • That sounded funnier in my head.

  • I laughed...

  • My ego thanks you, as does my triple-bladed machete of doom.

  • Do you think Fearne Cotton carries a knife?

  • lol, for a start, im joking... and funny how the government are making a huge step to stop people carrying knives.... the knife is hard, not you..

  • I dont like any of these videos. The vast majority of them are celebs just saying cliches like "believe in yourself" or "just ignore them". Stuff that they basically put zero amount of thought into saying or meaning. Least this vid shes saying somethign diff. But still not REALLY gonna help u if ur being bullied

  • shut up you fucking black cancer. If you carry a knife, your a fucking pussy

  • Marlon King should do one of these vids!

  • Hell yeah! Things were better in the good old days lol

  • meh better then cherls though

  • LMAO.. seriously..

what if they get bullied cause they av no friends..

oh yeah some musics really guna make them feel 100 times better wow got ma tunes on forget about da bulliez.

kk yh lets get ma red lippy out that will make me feel ontop of the world..

    kkwtf?

  • I know yeh, if you're being bullied, chances are you have no friends. If you did have friends, it wouldn't be called bullying, it would be called a gang fight lol

  • haha i love fearne

  • Wow You people are retarded. Fearne isn't giving a solution she's giving a distraction for people in that situation.

It's hardly like she's going to turn arround and say "just beat the fuck out of the bully, that'll shut 'em up". Which is my recommendation anyway.

  • I agree with her,

If something gets me down ( i don't get bullied ) I have to Watch Top Gear DON'T ASK xD

  • You could always pull yourself off looking at fearne cotton.

  • I understand were she is comming from but seriously?

Sure hold on there I'll just put on some of my mothers lipstick. LOL

    I'M A GUY! xD

    Nice vid though.

  • this was the best one.

  • What an appalling group of people on these videos. Slap on a bit of rouge after someone has just slapped a purple shiner on your eye?

Let's translate what Ferne really said:

"Well I would just teleport out of reality into my showbiz bubble where nothing can touch me & then I'd get paid shitloads from the license fee which has been taxed off you lowly fuckers whilst I do nothing worthwhlie with my life... abso-fucking-lutely nothing meanwhile you all scrimp & save through a recession".

    Nice tip.

  • Either that or just some nice relateable words, to contribute to a good cause?

  • baronvonchunk

"relateable"? Something obviously distracted you at school. Still, have a nice life watching the celebs. Really, I hope you spend a whole chunk of your life watching them. For you it would be time well spent.

  • baronvonchunk

Of course, your true colours. Those would be your "nice relateable words, to contribute to a good cause".

Well children in need is on tonight so you could always watch some of your beloved celebs doing their bit for "a good cause".

All the while remember that Wogan wont be paying back one penny of that £15000 he got each time he presented it. But I guess you cant see through any of that having destroyed all sense of reason or structured argument by watching TV.

  • people like this give blonds a bad name

red lipstick and music are gonna rid you of all bullies are they??

    wtf

  • Totally worthwhile watch that was. Yeah, if you have just had the shit kicked out of you on the way home from school just slap some red lipstick over your bloodied lips. Im digressing a bit here but, seriously, why the fuck does Fearne Cotton mention bands like Led zepplin all the time? Does she it gives her credibility?

  • fern im in love with you

  • I don't understand how listening to Britney Spears and putting on lipstick will prevent bullies from calling you spiteful names, stealing your stuff and kicking your head in.

  • I'd definately hit it.

  • thin lizzy sucks :\

  • no.

  • Go suck a dick!

  • oh yea that'll stop people bullying you, go school get bullied go toilets n then come out wiv some fukin lipstick on you

  • LMAO joka

  • LOL I misread the title of this as "Fearne Cotton's bulletproof tits" XD

  • should 'ave gone 2 specsavers :-)

  • @TomBandfield LMAO so did i! haha! ;D

  • lol hmm if you feel down put on some red lip stick haha alright then lads.........whos up for a drag act :P

  • I like this idea.

  • she's sexy

  • I LOVE FEARNE COTTON<3

  • a bit of rouge haha i love fearne

  • good old Fearne the name dropper Cotton, she wraps me up and keeps me warm with this message, much like her last name...can be torn to shreds though

  • Brilliant lol

  • Wise words indeed....

  • shes blanantly a chavlol

  • a chav that listens to Led Zepplin and Thin Lizzy? 0.o Thought chavs only like bands without any talent what so ever lol

  • @pezzthegreat what the hell? when has she ever been a chav?

  • he was replying to Tybouk who says "shes blantantly a chavlol"

  • you must have miss read what I said, I was replying to Tybouk for accusing her of being a chav which she obviously isn't lol my bad I should have been clearer

  • i would love to bully her ass.

  • by batle you should say life as these things dnt go away nobody gets a heres £200 and a free pass to hapynes u gotta fight for it and everyones fight is different some have loads a little ones some have big ones (bulys) oh and if you think loosing in a fight will make things worse it dont they will leave you alone

and anybody who is a victim if u arent gunna go the gym then please just smack the bully as hard as you can have a fight then you wont be worth the hasle incase you fight back again

  • lol sharice :P

  • i hate her i wish she would stop talking

  • Teehee!

  • her advice is gospel.....

next time i get bullied, im gonna get a Britney Spears school girl outfit on, red lipstick and confront those bullies...

    that'l show them....

    thanks Fearne

  • Lets hope your a girl otherwise thats kinda weird.

  • great fuckin advice against bully's red lipstick

  • i'll bully her next time her i see her, and i'll give her some red lipstick in a way of saying sorry.

  • Agreed. I think our beliefs probably have more in common than I first thought, and that what I'm doing is aruing against my own erroneous interpretation of your comments! So, apologies if that is the case, as I'm beginning to suspect lol.

People in a state of depression are usually in very unresourceful and unimpowered states, and helping them to find ways to become more resouceful and empowered is definately a good way to address things.

  • You can't lead someone into a more resourceful state, but you can help them remove the obstacles that lie in their path.

I think the gist of what I was trying to say, (in my own clumsy way) was that it is important for victims of bullying to know that it's ok to seek help, and that not having the resources to deal with it on one's own is not an indication of failure or inadequacy on their part.

  • Thanks for the reply. Nice to have someone actually respond with a considered opinion, rather than the usual stream of abuse! lol

Firstly, I'm not arguing that bullying can never result in a positive outcome for the victim, but i believe - romantic as the notion seems - that in the majority of cases bullying has a largely negative effect on those who suffer from it. I'm am pretty sure that an examination of the research into this will bear out what I'm saying...

  • Labelling a person a victim may not help them deal with the problem, but neither will ignoring the issue for fear of labelling them. If bullying is not addressed it can lead to severe problems, including depression, lack of self-worth, lack of confidence etc.

You ask the question 'Why sink into depression over it?', with regard to bullying. Depression is not a choice, and it is certainly not a 'sign of weakness'.

  • Depression is a clinically recognised and widely varying condition, and making unqualified assertions about it helps neither of us in this discussion.

Encouraging people to 'think positive' is good advice, but in most cases it amounts to little more than saying 'you just have to get on with it'.

This may work for some people, but the whole point of having some kind of support network for victims of bullying is that some people cannot 'just get on with it', and need help and support.

  • nahh all wrong, you need to kill the fuck out of ppl with a pair of sub automatic machine guns

  • She said Led Zeppelin not Def Leppard. Lol

  • Oh come on everyone lilkes a bit of bullying.

I'll try the lipstick thing although I'm not sure it will work so well for a man.

  • An importance difference is that professional fighters are there by choice.

I can see where you are coming from but I think it's a rather a reductive way to look at the problem of bullying.

I'd agree that being BEATEN can teach you valuable lessons about humility, and provide feedback about how you can improve. There is, I feel, an important difference between being defeated in a contest you have chosen to take part in, and being BEATEN UP, which is something that takes place without...

  • ...your consent. Being subject to bullying CAN have positive outcomes (such as increasing your resolve), but it doesn't therefore follow that being bullied is a good thing. Being knocked off your bike may make you a more cautious and vigilent rider, but that doesn't mean that the incident itself was a good thing.

Good results can come from both good and bad events. Some people may find the experience of being bullied strengthens their character, but in the majority of cases this has proved..

  • ...sadly untrue. A more common result of bullying is that the victim goes on to become a bully themselves (for example, the parent who beats their kid, then rationalises it by saying "my parent/s beat me and it never did me any harm").

Triumph in the face of adversity is a nice idea, but totally at odds with the reality of bullying.

  • what if you have no friends because the bullying is so severe?

  • That advice was rubbish, so next time my daughter comes home from school and tells me shes been bullied ill just say never mind put some red lipstick on and dance around the room, cool !!!!!!!

  • At least it'll get her into Led Zeppelin and Thin Lizzy though. Terrible advice I agree.

  • What bad advice, funny though, wonder how much they got paid for this.

  • she looks like she would stab you for a fiver

  • Bitch got some big-ass nostrils

  • Moron, chav or not, I'd love to give her one : )

  • she's such a moron.

  • I hardly see how red lipstick and britney are solutions to a childhood full of emotional torture.

    superficial, pathetic.

  • Agreed. The over-sexualized, beauty-matters-most culture that these things represent is probably more of a contributing factor to bullying, rather than a solution to it.

  • chav

  • i think some of these guys posting comments got the wrong idea from red lipstick

  • oh yh check aleshia dixons it a more round about way of what im saying

  • yh totally agree also try going to the gym I'm not saying be a pro weight lifter but it helps you feels better and when some one attacks you (verbal or physical) even if you don't fight back at first you will use that aggression at the gym and before you know it you will naturally want to fight back

  • good advice bro

  • this is for BULLYING fearne, not making yourself feel better when you're down!

  • I guess... you feel down if you're getting bullied?

  • sorry what lol? your saying people dont feel down after being bullied?

  • of course not. but red lipstick usually isn't helpful when trying to raise confidence to beat bullies, or be 'bullyproof'... amazing friends do help, but in a lot of cases people do not have friends they can turn to..

  • She doenst mean GO get some red lipstick and crack it on to make you feel better, notice how she says if I'M feeling down, Shes telling you to do something that makes you feel good about yourself and just run with it.

  • again, how does that help you beat bullies, or be 'bullyproof'..

  • Because if someone can't make you feel down on urself, or upset you and make you feel bad about who you are then ur "bullyproof" being bullied isnt just physical attacks.

  • fair enough, i see your point, but i wasn't referring to physical attacks.

  • i would tear that ASS UP!!!

  • Fuck off Fearne Cotton! all that comes out your mouth is drivel

  • Well Fearne if your ever feeling down you can always come and see me, i can think of a few things that would cheer you up :-)

  • loooooooooooooooooool :D u dirty bastard :D

  • What a joke, who needs to be cheared up when you earn 200K at her age? I'd never be miserable with that much cash.

  • yh money aint everything

  • All of these 'bullyproof' tips i've watched so far haven't once mentioned anything about actual bullying. They keep on saying surround yourself with friends who love you, well i dunno what planet they're living on but the people who usually get bullied don't have that many friends!

  • i love Fearne!

  • go back to ITV fearne.. ya not good enough for the BBC :P

  • This is ridiculous. Fearne Cotton's just like "just put on some red lipstick" if you're gettin' bullied. Shit advice from girls who know shit! Boo BBC.

  • Pathetic!!!

  • pretty girls with loads of friends who care about them loads aren't normally bullied. it is the slightly odd looking girls with no friends and maybe not very nice clothes etc. and it is the popular pretty girls with loads of friends who are doing the bulling for gods sake! if you want to stop bullying then you have to stand up to the bully doing whatever it takes to let them and everyone else know that it is not going to be worth their time bullying you and infact they will come off worse

  • shes weird

  • i like fearne but that all sounded extremely insincere.

  • I cant help but feel annoyed at how organisations like this present bullying as such a simplistic phenomenon. There is nothing that magically makes things better. I've been bullied before and I've seen others throughout my entire time at high school constantly get crap from bullies all the time. Schools are often reluctant to sort it out properly, instead just leaving it to the status quo and campaigns like this don't have any noticable effect no matter how good their intentions may be.

  • You gossip, you then dance around your room and put on make up and you feel better? Thank you for enforcing the female stereotype.

  • my advice would be to try and ignore it, because the bullys feed off ur misery... there you have it, decent advice given by a regular guy, who has had some experience with bullys. not a plastic celebrity who evryone probably worshiped in school

  • Ignor it , thats ur advice ? I dont know how things work wherever you are but the simple way to stop it is to show people that they cant giv you shit and get away with it. Iv watched people try and ignor it , my god it doesnt do anything except make things worse. Stand up for yourself and dont take shit from anybody.

  • good to go... Where? Is this before or after bullies stave her head in with her own shoes?

  • I'd bully Fearne any day

  • Fearne is deffinetly a britney spears fan! exactly right Fearne , u get in the zone. hmmm

  • bit of my rouge on her lips

  • a phonecall, music and lipstick - yeah that'll teach those bullies.

  • Lol

  • this is really going to help , thanks thin lizzy red lipstick , what planet are you from!

  • I just tried the lipstick thing. Being a guy I didn't think it'd work, but it did.

  • thats not avoiding bullying u stupid arse. that saying what ya do after. hell. people are stupid

  • "1ne of my bezzies" fucking sickening, if u find any comfort in these bullshit vids u deserve to get bullyed

  • lol, agreed

  • yeah cause that really keeps the bullies away

    what a dick

  • I know, how pathetic.

Oooh i'm getting bullied, owh it's ok I will just put on some red lipstick and it will make it better.
